The lake is originally named as Sangestar Tso Lake, which is on the way from Tawang to Bum La Pass. The Madhuri Lake was formed as a result of an earthquake many years ago and the water body here is crystal clear and turns bluish by reflecting the color blue sky. One can also see the numerous dead tree trunks emerging from the water surface, which were once alive before the earthquake. One can stroll around Madhuri Lake with the family to enjoy the beauty of nature around.
