Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in Bharat till 1954, is currently a Union Territory city delimited by the southeastern Tamil Nadu state. Its French heritage is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas, and stylish boutiques. A seashore promenade runs on the Bay of geographical region and passes many statues, together with a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.
On arrival at the Chennai Airport / Railway Station, from there you will meet and assist by our representative and transfer to the hotel. After that, we’ll proceed for the Gandhi memorial, an iconic place of historical reference, after which we shall cover some famous temples like Parthasarathy Temple, Kala Kshetra and others too. We shall also cover Fort St. George, Pantheon Museum, Old Lighthouse, and Marina Beach in the later hours of the day. Then we shall head back to the hotel in Chennai, Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, we shall head towards Kanchipuram. The idea is to cover most of the major temples and shrines popular in the region. Some of them include Kailash Nath temple, Ekambareshwar Temple, Sri Kamakshi Temple, etc. The city is immensely famous for its silk. Upon successfully covering the major sites, we shall head back to our stay in Mahabalipuram. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
We again start the day with some breakfast and head towards Mahabalipuram. The Pallava port is a popular sightseeing destination. We shall cover other popular shrines and places of historic sculptures. Shore temple devoted to Lord Shiva is one such iconic temple. Finally, we shall depart for our night stay at Pondicherry.
After breakfast, we head towards the most awaited destination, Pondicherry. The city is considered to be the epicenter of modern science and Yoga. We shall visit the iconic Aurobindo Ashram post which our next destination is the Varadaraja Perumal Temple, Manakula Vinayagar Temple war memorial and other iconic places of worship. Finally, we head back to the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast check out from the hotel our representative will drop you at Pondicherry Airport/ Railway Station to catch onward your flights or train & return back to your home with sweet memories of this tour.
