Gangtok, Lachen, and Lachung is the beautiful small hamlet situated at a high altitude. Lachen means “Big Pass” while Lachung is “Small Pass”.Lachen is a town in North Sikkim district in the Indian state of Sikkim. It is located at an elevation of 2,750 meters. The name Lachen means “big pass”. The town is a being promoted as a tourist destination by the Sikkimese government. The most prevailing area in a Lachen is the Nyingma order of Himalayan Buddhism and the Lachen Monastery & Lachen Chu and the alpine covers. The quaint Sikkim town is as a known for its lush vegetation that contains mainly grasslands and shrubs along with apple orchards. Lachung is the town & hill station in northeast Sikkim, India. Lachung is the located North Sikkim district near the border with Tibet. Lachung is the elevation of about 9,600 feet (2,900 m) and at the confluence of the Lachen and Lachung Rivers, both tributaries of the River Teesta. Lachung is famous for its apples, peaches, and apricots is also a lot known for its tourist attractions and sightseeing places.
On arrival at the Bagdogra Airport to Lachen. On the way sightseeing at Tashi Viewpoint, Dikchu, Mangan, Chungthung and reach Lachen. Check into hotel and dinner and overnight stay at Lachen hotel.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and you visit Chopta Valley, Thangu Valley, Gurudongmar Lake. Leave Lachen for Lachung. Check into the Lachung hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
