Kumarakom is Located at a distance of 16km from Kottayam in Kerala and located on the banks of Vembanad Lake, Kerala’s largest lake, Kumarakom is a cluster of many small man-made islands reclaimed from the lake. Kumarakom along with Alleppey, has beautiful backwater areas and they collectively form the most important tourist centres of Kerala.
Day 01:
01st day On your arrival at Cochin airport or railway station we will meet and our representative/chauffeur will welcome you at the arrival terminal/gate and will be driven directly to Kumarakom which is 95 kms from away Cochin airport from there . And you will reach transferred into your traditional Kerala Houseboat at around 12 noon. Enjoy the traditional Kerala lunch, evening tea snacks and dinner in houseboat. Overnight stay in the houseboat also.
Day 02:
02nd day Enjoy breakfast in morning and enjoy houseboat view the natural vistas and the sightseeing spots. In morning after breakfast checkout from houseboat at 9 AM. And after that you will visit the Sanctuary which provides a close view of migratory birds that come from Himalayas and other far places. And you will enjoy shopping in Kumarakom which is famous for handicrafts items made of coconut shell, bamboo, cane etc. After that back to Cochin airport/railway station for your onward journey.
Your Kumarakom backwater tour ends with some beautiful memories with sweet memories....
