Overview

Jammu and Kashmir:- Jammu is referred to as the City of Temples and the Gateway to Kashmir. True to its moniker, you’ll find numerous Hindu and Buddhist holy sites, like the Vaishno Devi Mandir, a shrine in the Trikuta Mountains that millions of pilgrims visit every year. It’s also the home of the Patnitop hill area, a celebrated attraction that tourists visit to admire and get lost in the grandeur of its lush landscapes. In the city proper, you’ll find more temples, shrines, palaces, and museums that house artifacts, artworks, and documents that chronicle the history of the land.

On the other hand, Kashmir is where you’ll find the country’s summer capital, Srinagar, a city famous for the majestic Dal Lake, the picturesque and Persian-influenced Mughal Gardens, and the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. The town of Gulmarg can also be found in the region and it is famous for being one of the prime winter sports destinations in India that can rival Switzerland’s Interlaken and for having the second-highest cable car ride in the world. Another popular area is the Pahalgam Valley where adventurers take a break from sightseeing to try out a fun and chill experiences like learning to ride ponies, playing golf, and strolling around the Baisaran Meadows.

Highlights

  • Thajiwas Glacier:-Thajiwas glacier at an altitude of 9,186 feet is a striking silvery scene set against emerald meadows and a clear blue sky. In summers, you can take a half-day hike to numerous waterfalls around this glacier. The road will be long and the journey hard but the captivating views make it worthwhile. On the way, have a friendly match with the local Gujjar kids who are almost always ready for a friendly snowball fight!
  • Manasbal Lake:-Manasbal Lake is located in Ganderbal District in the State of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The name Manasbal is said to be a derivative of the Lake Manasarovar. Lake is encircled by three villages viz., Jarokbal, Kondabal (also called Kiln place, is situated on the north-eastern side of the lake) and Ganderbal and is stated to be the deepest lake (at 13 m or 43 ft depth) in India.] The large growth of lotus (Nelumbo nucifera) at the periphery of the lake (blooms during July and August) adds to the beauty of the clear waters of the lake. The Mughal garden, called the Jaroka, (meaning bay window) built by Nur Jahan overlooks the lake.
  • Verinag :-There are several places of attractions in and around Verinag. One of the benefits of making Verinag the focal point of your vacation is that it is equidistant from many beautiful places in Kashmir. Jammu, Patnitop, and Anantnag are all close to Verinag. You could visit the Martand Sun temple from Anantnag, the Bahu Fort and Mansar Lake in Jammu, and Sanasar Lake and Nathatop near Patnitop.
  • Gulmarg:-Golf Course in Gulmarg, situated at a height of 2,650 mabove sea level, is the highest green golf course in the world. This 18-hole golf course is completely managed by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation. Temporary membership, even for one day, is available at the club for the golfers. Gulmarg golf course, counted among the most beautiful golf courses in India, is composed of both slopes and inclines. This golf club was started by the British who used Gulmarg as a holiday resort. In 1904, this golf course was opened to golf lovers. In 1922, the first Golf Championship was organized at this golf course.
  • Dal Lake:-The Dal Lake which has a length of 8 Km long and a width of 4 Km, spreads over a total of 26 Sq. Km. The fascinating Dal Lake is divided into two smaller ones the Lokut (small) and Bod (big) Dal. The southwestern part of the lake has a maximum depth of approximately 12 M. the Dal Lake gets some of its water from spring but is also supplemented by water from the mountain lake, Mar Sar.
  • Mughal Gardens:-The Mughal (also spelled as Moghul) emperors built gardens from Tehran to Agra but it is in Kashmir, complemented by the lake and the mountains, that they reach their perfection. Indeed after houseboats and the mountains it is these gardens for which Kashmir is most famous.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive from Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar decide from Srinagar flying field and transfer to Houseboat/Hotel. Relax and revel in the beautiful fantastic thing about the character engulfing Srinagar with witching charm and splendor. Evening dinner and overnight stay in the houseboat/Hotel.

Day 02: Srinagar to Sonmarg - Srinagar

Today you embark on a full-day excursion to the picturesque 'meadow of gold’Sonmarg. The fast flowing Sindh river makes it popular for trout and mahseer fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (by your own payment). Return to the Houseboat in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy comfortable 

Day 03: Srinagar – Manasbal - Srinagar 

After breakfast proceeds to Manasbal Located at a distance of just around 30 km away from Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, the Manasbal Lake is considered to be a “gem” among all the lakes of Jammu and Kashmir. Known as the deepest lake of Kashmir as well as the lake which offers the most secure dice formation amongst the lakes of Kashmir during the summer months. In the evening return to Srinagar for a comfortable overnight stay in a hotel. 

Day 04: Srinagar - Verinag  - Srinagar

After breakfast proceeds to Verinag. The Verinag Spring, named after Nila Nag, the son of the famous Hindu sage Kashyap Rishi. The spring, which was originally shaped in a circular form was given a change of shape during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir in 1620 when he gave orders to renovate the spring in the Mughal traditional shape of an octagon. Today, picturesque in its settings and surrounded by tall Pine trees, the Verinag Spring is characterized by waters that are calm and sparklingly clear. Besides a glimpse of the Verinag Spring, a tour to Verinag is made even more special by the sight of several varieties of colorful flowers, gently swaying to the rhythm of the cool, mountain air. In the evening back to Srinagar. Overnight stay at Hotel in Srinagar. 

Day 05: Srinagar -  Gulmarg – Srinagar

After breakfast proceeds to Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast-flowing streams, and lush green meadows. Gulmarg - the meadow of flowers is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden meadow offering a spectacular view of towering snow-capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers and gigantic fir and pine trees. Stroll leisurely or take pony rides (by your own payment) across the green meadow to one of the world's highest Golf courses. A must is a fun-filled ride in the newly introducedGondola lift (by your own payment). Return to Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel. 

Day 06: Srinagar - Yousmarg - Srinagar

After breakfast, Drive to Yousmarg. Yousmarg is approximately 50 km from the Srinagar and lies in the Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The two-hour drive to the place is an enjoyment in itself. Grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop ofsplendid snow capped mountains leave you almost speechless. Within commutabledistance from Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, Yousmarg is the perfect place to go for a picnic. Especially, for the lovers of long walks in picturesque locales, Yousmarg is the place to be. In the evening back to Srinagar. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 07: Srinagar – Local Sightseeing 

Today after having breakfast we drive to visit the famous Mughal gardens in Srinagar which is Nishat Bagh (the garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (abode of love). These gardens are situated on the banks of Dal lake. Nishat Bagh is the larger of the two gardens and has an impressive plantation of Chinar trees on its highest terrace. Both the gardens are built on a symmetrical plan of central waterways with fountains dividing a series of gardened terraces. Night stay at Hotel in Srinagar. 

Day 8: Departure  

After breakfast proceeds to Srinagar, our representative can drop you at the airport/railway station to catch ahead your flight & come back to home with sweet recollections of the Mystic Kashmir tour.
