Kerala is a southwestern state of India. It is the twenty-third largest Indian state by area. It is divided into 14 districts and the capital of the state is Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam is the most widely spoken language of the state and thus the official language as well. The state has a wet and maritime tropical climate due to seasonal heavy rains. Around 65% of the rainfall occurs from June to August and the rest from September to December.
The state is famous for its Economy, agriculture, and fisheries. According to the religious stats, the majority of the people in the state are Hindus. Muslims and Christians come as minorities of the state. Wide beaches, backwaters, mountain ranges, lakes, waterfalls, ancient ports, palaces, religious institutions, and wildlife sanctuaries are major attractions for both domestic and international tourists. Kerala ranks first to fetch international and domestic tourists in India.
