Kerala is a state. It’s known for its beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland Kerala are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife. Kerala is better known as Gods Own Country, is today one of the most sought after tourist destinations in India.

Munnar is a town and hill station. it is situated at around 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above mean sea level in the Western Ghats mountain range. This place is also called the “Kashmir of South India” and is a popular honeymoon destination.

Arrive Cochin transfer to Munnar

Day01:
01st day on Arrive at Cochin airport we will meet and drive to Munnar. It will take the 3-hours driver to Munnar, breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft. in this Idukki district, Munnar is the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days.

Day 02:
Munnar has all these and more. The Eravikulam National Park, encompassing 100 square km of moist evergreen forests and grassy hilltops in the Western Ghats, lies 13 km northeast of Munnar. Once the hunting reserve of British planters, today it is home to one of the world's rarest mountain goats. For a wide and clear view of the Park, go to the Directors Leap. Later visit Mattupetty Dam, Tea plantation walk and Tea Museum: (closed on Monday), etc.

Munnar to Thekkady

Day 03:
In Thekkady, Kerala is famous for its fascinating wildlife sanctuaries which are the home of a varied range of flora and fauna. From the different types of birds to the colorful flowers, Thekkady is also home of playful elephants.

Thekkady to Alleppey

Day 04:
Alleppey retreat that will rejuvenate you to the core. This lush green vegetation and the backwaters of Kerala together create spectacular visual imagery for you to draw inspiration from nature itself. When Alleppey, noted a piece of interest for tourists is the houseboat. Also known as the ‘Venice of the East’, Alleppey offers unparalleled natural beauty. And the reason this Alleppey is such a popular spot among travelers is that it is dotted with lakes and lagoons which make the prevalence of houseboats all the more relevant.

Day 05:
Cochin. Comprising of a cluster of islands and towns, Cochin is a living museum. Fort Cochin is believed to be the oldest European settlement in India, with the Portuguese flag first hoisted here in 1500. St Francis Church, built-in 1510 by friars brought India Vasco da Gama, is the first European church built in India and is the site where da Gama was buried. The “Dutch Palace” was built in the 1550s by the Portuguese and taken to Cochin airport to catch your flight for next destination.
