Here neolithic style jhum or shifting cultivation is practiced even today. The highland plateaus fed by abundant rains provided safety from floods and rich soil. The importance of Meghalaya is its possible role in human history through the domestication of rice. Meghalaya is one of the Seven Sister States of northeast India.
After arriving at the railway station/airport in Guwahati, you will be meeting our representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Shillong. On the way, however, you will be stopping by at the largest manmade lake in the entire northeast, Umiam Lake. Dinner & Overnight at Shillong.
After breakfast, you will be going to visit the once wettest place on earth, Cherrapunji. You Will Be Visit attractions like Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai cave, Seven Sisters’ Falls, and Arwah Caves. Dinner & Overnight at Cherrapunji.
After breakfast, you will be going to a place called Nongrihat via a trek of 3 hours. Here, you will see the famous Double Decker Root Bridge. Visit the local churches and markets of Cherrapunji after coming back, and then return to Shillong. Dinner Overnight at Shillong.
After breakfast this morning, you will be going to see the famous Mawllynnong Village, considered to be the cleanest in Asia. After That You will be Spend some time here exploring, seeing the living root bridges, before finally going to see the amazing border town of Dawki. Dinner & overnight Stay at hotel
After breakfast, you will be visited first heading to Mawphlang to see the famous Sacred Grove, a green paradise famous amongst nature lovers. Dinner & Overnight at Shillong.
