There has been a long pending demand of the people of Ladakh and to give it the status of a Union Territory to enable them to realize their aspirations. The Union The territory of Ladakh will be without Legislature and Ladakh became a New Union Territory of India.
Ladakh is a mountainous region and the very coldest desert in the world.
In Ladakh, nature has rendered a magical, fantastic landscape and Most unbelievable and which is extremely breathtaking.
Ladakh lies in the north-east region of India and is surrounded by the world’s highest mountain ranges, Karakoram and Great Himalayas. The Ladakh district occupied China in the north and Kashmir in the west and Ladakh is an exotic and famous destination considered as the highest plateau lying at an altitude of 9, 800 ft. Ladakh is the 3rd province of Kashmir Valley. The population of Ladakh is about 2, 60,000 which contains a mixture of many different ethnic groups, predominantly Tibetans, Dards, Monpas, Muslims. Before 6th August 1979, the Ladakh District was divided into Leh District (mostly occupied by Tibetan Buddhist) and Kargil District (mostly occupied by Shia Muslims). But Recent Ladakh is the Union Territory state of India. And Leh is the capital of Ladakh. There are two regions in Ladakh, they are Leh and Kargil.
On arrival at Leh Airport, you will meet our representative and drive to Leh. Check in to the hotel and some rest and Freshen up the drive to Local Sightseeing Of Leh visit Leh Market. Overnight stay at Leh Hotel.
After morning breakfast, full-day visits the Shey Palace, Thiksey and Hemis monasteries as well as the Stock Palace Museum. Return back to Leh and overnight stay at Leh Hotel.
After morning breakfast and hit the road for Phey Bridge. After crossing the bridge and walk to reach the Zingchen Gorge. En-route, you will spot signs of the snow leopard along the bottom of the side valleys during winters or early spring or fall. Arrive in Rumbak, by evening and overnight stay at Rumback.
After morning breakfast proceed for full- day wildlife viewing. You will be accompanied by a local guide and you might spot various kinds of animals such as the great Tibetan sheep also called argali, blue sheep, a Tibetan wolf, various migratory bird species, exquisite flora and if really lucky and Snow leopard. Return to the hotel for an overnight halt.
Today morning starts early for a trek up the Stok la pass (4900m- 3 hours), move towards the extreme left along the south-facing hill. After one hour, you start climbing up to the pass. From here, you can get an amazing view of the Indus valley. Slide downwards to the Stok village. A visit to Stok Palace and museum can be arranged. Later drive towards Leh. On arrival and check-in the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today you will be transferred to the Leh airport for your onward journey.
