Overview

Jammu and Kashmir is the northernmost state of India locked in Himalayan Mountains. Jammu is the winter capital of state and known for its temples, particularly The Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra which is visited by over 1 crore (10 million) pilgrims every year,[1] making Jammu the most visited part of Jammu and Kashmir State.

  • Srinagar:- Srinagar is the largest city and the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus, and Dal and Anchar lakes. The city is known for its natural environment, gardens, waterfronts, and houseboats
  • Gulmarg:- Gulmarg is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination and a notified area committee in the Baramulla district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir
  • Pahalgam:- Pahalgam is a hill station in the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Mountain trails run northeast to Amarnath Cave Temple, a Hindu shrine and site of the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage. Overa Aru Wildlife Sanctuary is home to animals including brown bears and musk deer. Northeast, the Lidder River runs through scenic Betaab Valley. Southeast, Tullian Lake is flanked by mountain peaks and often frozen.

Itinerary

Day 01: Srinagar

Arrival at Srinagar Airport. After the reception at the Airport, Transfer to the Srinagar City, Srinagar is the heart of the Kashmir Valley, still preserves the imprints of the Mughals and the British. The valley takes great pride in its lakes, gardens and the charming rows of houseboats floating on them. Popular for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts, Kashmiri clothes and dry fruits, Srinagar is bordered by five districts. To its northern side is Kargil, in the south is Pulwama and in the north-west lies Budgam. "If there is a heaven on earth, it's here, it's here, it's here", exclaimed the Mughal emperor Jahangir on his first visit to this place. On arrival Check- into the hotel. In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. Afternoon free for personal activities. Today we shall take you for a tour of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 km respectively. Enroute visit carpet-weaving factory. In the evening visit the Chashmashahi gardens and Parimahal Gardens on the Zabarvan Hills. Dinner & night stay at hotel..

Day 02: Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 60 km will be covered in about 2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view Enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up Khilangmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs. Chair Lifts for mountain ride are also available. In the evening return back to Srinagar. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Srinagar-Pahalgam-Srinagar

After breakfast, you will proceed to Pahalgam (94 kms/2.5 hrs) Valley of Shepherds. Enroute you will have a rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields. Also visit Avantipura Ruins & Anantnag Sulpher Springs enroute, Arrive and proceed to your hotel, rest of the day at leisure to explore the countryside and enjoy leisurely walks through the pine forest along the River Lidder. Return back to Srinagar for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 04: Departure Srinagar

after breakfast check out from the hotel and now you will ready Srinagar airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
