Zuluk is an abode of peace. Zuluk is situated at an altitude of around 10,000 ft above the sea level and perched on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in East Sikkim, Zuluk is a hamlet close to Indo-China border. Zuluk is located on the famous Old-Silk-Route. The best time to visit Zuluk during August and September, Zuluk is drenched is a riot of colours of wildflowers. The whole region is covered in various wildflowers. Zuluk January to April Zuluk is covered in snow. Zuluk is the rainy season of May to July is usually foggy but the rest of the year it has nice sparkling weather. There is a need for permits to visit Zuluk and to make permits. You need to carry passport size photos and photo ID proof (in original) to get your permit. While approaching from Gangtok, you can get this permit from Sikkim Tourism Office at Gangtok. You can get it done through any registered local tour operator in Gangtok. And Nathang Valley ( Old – Silk – Route) Gnathang Valley or Nathang Valley is popularly called the “ Ladakh of East India”. Situated at the height of 13,500 ft. above the sea level, Nathang Valley is one of the most beautiful places in Old-Silk-Route.
