Dantewada is a town and a nagar palika in the Dantewada district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Dantewada District. Dantewada is a beautiful place with picturesque landscapes and rows of hills. Known for its historical importance, Dantewada has several temples that talk about the past they belonged to. This town was named after the deity Danteshwari. MaaBhajna Temple Housing the idols of Lord Ganesha and Lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, this Dravidian style temple is well known. There is also Shiva Temple and a Ganesha Temple situated close to the Mama-Bhanjaa Temple. Bodhghat Sath Dhar, lying 6 km off Barsur, river Indravati’s seven parts come together here to form this scenic waterfall amidst lush green forests making it an idyllic picnic spot
