Anandpur Sahib some of the time alluded to just as Anandpur lit. “City of delight”, is a city in the Rupnagar region Ropar, on the edge of Shivalik Hills, in the territory of Punjab, India. Situated close to the Sutlej River, the city is a standout amongst the most consecrated places in Sikhism, being where the last two Sikh Gurus lived and where Guru Gobind Singh Ji established the Khalsa Panth in 1699. The city is home to Keshgarh Sahib Gurdwara, one of the five Takhts in Sikhism. The city is a journey site in Sikhism. It is the setting of the biggest yearly Sikh social event and celebrations amid Hola Mohalla in the spring season.
