Odisha (Orissa) Tribes:
Tribals of Odisha are still untouched by civilization; the tribal’s of Odisha are still forest dwellers and live in harmony with their natural surroundings. Their life is dependent on forest produce. Each tribe has its own customs, tradition, and costumes which separate them from other tribal. These tribes serve as the soul of the state and are the ones who have till date their culture and tradition intact. Taking over the Eastern Ghats, these tribes are mostly tagged to the districts namely Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Angul harsuguda, Sundargarh, Kandhamal and more. While the Kondh and Santal tribes are the most widespread in Odisha, other tribes like Munda, Oram, and Gond also have a major impact on the state.
On arrival at Bhubaneshwar Airport/ Railway station meet our representative & assist by him. Now ready to drive toward
hotel on arrival, check-in take some rest then proceeds to visit sightseeing of Bhubaneshwar temples, the most important one being the Lingaraj Temple, dedicated to Harihara, one of the forms of Lord Shiva. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to visit Lalitgiri, Ratnagiri as well as Udayagiri. These are three places are home to popular ancient monasteries Buddhist monasteries and are considered to be important Buddhist religious sites. Back to Bhubaneshwar for an overnight stay.
The morning after breakfast, begin driving towards Baliguda. En-route visits the semi tribal villages and the tribal villages. And you can observe the lifestyle of the tribal people of the region. Check-in the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
In the morning, after having your breakfast, begin your road journey towards the Belghar area ( 220 km ). After that visit Kuttiya Kondh village and the villages of Rasul Kondh villages. The tribes were earlier known for their human sacrifices to please their Lord. Tuesday then you shop for handicrafts at the weekly market of Kothgarh. Overnight at Belghar.
After breakfast checkout from the hotel now ready to drive back to Bhubaneshwar Airport / Railway station onward to catch your Train/flight & return back to home with sweet memories of Odisha Holiday tour.
