Rayagada is a district in southern Odisha, a state in India, which became a separate district in October 1992. Its population consists mainly of tribes, primarily the Khonds and the Soras. In addition to Odia, Kui and Sora are spoken by the district’s indigenous population. Chatikona is a small village of Rayagada district in the state of Odisha, India. It is one of the identified Tourist Centres of Odisha. Onkudelli, visit the colorful market of Bonda, Gadaba, and Didayee. Later also visit Gadaba villages. Gopalpur is a town and a Notified Area Council on the Bay of Bengal coast in Ganjam district in the southern part of Odisha, India. Today it is a commercial port, a famous sea beach and a tourist destination around 15 km from Berhampur. Bhubaneswar is an ancient city in India’s eastern state of Odisha, formerly Orissa. Many temples built from sandstone are dotted around Bindu Sagar Lake in the old city, including the 11th-century Hindu Lingaraja Temple. Outside Rajarani Temple are sculpted figures of the guardians of the 8 cardinal and ordinal directions. Jain antiques, weaponry and indigenous pattachitra paintings fill the Odisha State Museum.
On arrival at Vishakhapatnam airport (Vizag), you will be received and transferred to Rayagada. Arrive at Rayagada, check in to the hotel. Rest of the time is kept free at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.
After having breakfast drive to Jhigidi traditional craftsman village. Also, visit Desia Kondh weekly market at Jhigidi which commence only on Tuesday. After lunch takes a soft walk on Niyamgiri hills to see the Dongariya Kondh hamlet. In the evening return back to the hotel at Rayagada.
Today, transfer to Chhatikona to visit Dongariya Kondh weekly market. Dongariya is once infamous for human sacrifice. In the morning Dongariyas trek down from the mountain with their forest produce to exchange with non-tribal is an interesting event to watch. Later drive further to Jeypore.
Today take a day return excursion to Onkudelli, visit the colorful market of Bonda, Gadaba, and Didayee. Later also visit Gadaba villages. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Transfer back to Rayagada stopping en-route to see Jagannath temple, the tribal museum at Koraput, the largest market of Paroja and Rana at Kunduli. Arrive at Rayagada and check in to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Today proceed to Gopalpur on sea visiting on the way Saura tribal villages & Taptapani Sulpher Spring. Arrive at Gopalpur on Sea and check in to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Today proceed for Puri visiting Chilka Lake and Raghrajpur painting village on the way. On arrival at Puri, check-in at the hotel. Later visit Jagannath temple from outside (Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple). Stay overnight at the hotel.
After having breakfast, drive to Bhubaneswar visiting Konark Sun Temple en-route (An UNESCO World Heritage Site). Also visit Pipili village, which is well-known for its patchwork. Finally, arrive at Bhubaneswar and check in to the hotel. Later take a tour of ancient Ling raja Temples. Stay overnight at the hotel.
At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to embark the flight back to the onward destination
