Nagaland is a state in northeastern India. The state capital is Kohima and the largest the city is Dimapur.There are 16 inhabitant tribes in this state:- Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Kachari, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Kuki, Lotha, Phom, Pochury, Rengma, Sangtam, Sumi, Yimchunger, and Zeme-Liangmai (Zeliang). Each tribe is unique in a character with its own distinct customs, language, and dress. Mount Saramati is that the highest peak at three,840 meters and its range forms a natural barrier between Nagaland and Burma. Nagaland is home to the Bhut Jolokia or ghost pepper, one of the hottest chilis in the world at 855,000 SHU on the Scoville scale. All the tribes of Nagaland have their own cookery, and that they use a great deal of meat, fish, and fermented products in their dishes. In the morning, set off for a full-day tour of Dzulakie and Khonoma village Khonoma is an Angami Naga village located about 20 km west from the state capital, Kohima. The village is referred to as Khwuno-ra (named after the Angami term for a local plant, Glouthera fragrantisima). The total population of the village is about 1943, settled in 424 households. In the morning, hit the road to Mokokchong, home of Ao Naga and a great place for people who are interested in folklore customs and traditions.Wokha literally means Census in Lotha. This day is fully dedicated to the exploration of tribal village and meeting with the local people. Mokokchung district as 'Land of Pioneers' because this place has produced a great number of luminaries in many fields. In the morning, hit the road to Tuensang, home to Yimchungers, Khiamungans, Changs, Semas, Sangtams and Phoms Nagas.the easternmost and the largest district of Nagaland, bordering with Myanmar. In the morning, leave by road for Mon (150 kilometers/ Approx 8 hrs drive), the homeland of the Konyak tribe known for their exquisite craftsmanship. Here, one can purchase excellent wood carvings and machete. Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
In the morning, drive towards Jorhat, where you can visit, Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, Molai Forest, Sukapha Samanny Kshetra Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
Today, drive towards the Brahmaputra river and board the ferry to visit Majuli Island. In the evening, return back to Jorhat Ghat and drive towards Kaziranga (110 kilometers/ 2.5 hours). Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
Early morning, set off for enjoy a wildlife safari in Kaziranga National Park where you will get to see various wild species and can enjoy elephant safari followed by a jeep safari. Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
