Nagaland is a state in northeastern India. The state capital is Kohima and the largest the city is Dimapur.There are 16 inhabitant tribes in this state:- Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Kachari, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Kuki, Lotha, Phom, Pochury, Rengma, Sangtam, Sumi, Yimchunger, and Zeme-Liangmai (Zeliang). Each tribe is unique in a character with its own distinct customs, language, and dress. Mount Saramati is that the highest peak at three,840 meters and its range forms a natural barrier between Nagaland and Burma. Nagaland is home to the Bhut Jolokia or ghost pepper, one of the hottest chilis in the world at 855,000 SHU on the Scoville scale. All the tribes of Nagaland have their own cookery, and that they use a great deal of meat, fish, and fermented products in their dishes. Galho is a vegetarian porridge cooked with rice, leaves, and condiments. Drinks include zutho and thutse, beers made with sticky rice.
On arrival at Dimapur station/airport, you will be driven to Khonoma that is about a distance of 205 kilometres. It will take about 8 hours of time. In between, you will be visiting Mezoma Village where you can explore the Wood and Bamboo Craft Unit, quite well known in the state. Once you reach the village of Mokokchung, there is Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
• Today after breakfast, You will pay your full day visit to Mokokchung Village:- It is the district headquarters as well as the main urban hub of Mokokchung district. Mokokchung is economically and politically the most important urban centre and is important cultural nervecentre of the Ao people. This place has produced a great number of luminaries in many fields that why it Is also known as 'Land of Pioneers'. In Mokokchung you can pay your Visit to see Baptist Mother Church, Town Park,Mokokchung Village,Dikhu River, Langpangkong Caves(Caves on the mountains The Langpangkong Caves are famous for its caring, homely environ for every creature out there. It lacks the aesthetic beauty like most caves but is attractive to the travellers because of its sheltering characteristic.).,Ungma Village(ngma is one of the most ancient Ao villages and of great tourist interest to view the folklore, customs and traditions of Ao Naga) ,Longkhum Village,Mokokchung Museum. Later Return back to the hotel for dinner & an overnight stay at Mokokchung.
Today after breakfast, You will pay your full day visit to Earthen Pot Making Experience, Aliba Visit, Chungtia Villages Tour About at 40 kilometres from Mokokchung, that you will be exploring today the beautiful village of Changki. The place is renowned all over the country for the art of earthen pot making. The local artisans are actually experts in making pots with mud. It is at Changki Village that scrumptious lunch will be served.A drive back to Mokokchung with visit to Chungtia and Aliba village is scheduled for the time after lunch. Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast check- Out from Hotel, and , our representative will drop you at Johrat airport/railway station to catch forwards your flight( about 130 kilometres and will take about 5-6 hours Journey).On the way to Johrat you will visit Ilenden Village Mishing Village weavers on the way making bamboo mats & come back to home with Sweet reminiscences of and Nagaland Art and Craft Tour.
