Jammu and Kashmir:- Jammu is referred to as the City of Temples and the Gateway to Kashmir. True to its moniker, you’ll find numerous Hindu and Buddhist holy sites, like the Vaishno Devi Mandir, a shrine in the Trikuta Mountains that millions of pilgrims visit every year. It’s also the home of the Patnitop hill area, a celebrated attraction that tourists visit to admire and get lost in the grandeur of its lush landscapes. In the city proper, you’ll find more temples, shrines, palaces, and museums that house artifacts, artworks, and documents that chronicle the history of the land.

On the other hand, Kashmir is where you’ll find the country’s summer capital, Srinagar, a city famous for the majestic Dal Lake, the picturesque and Persian-influenced Mughal Gardens, and the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. The town of Gulmarg can also be found in the region and it is famous for being one of the prime winter sports destinations in India that can rival Switzerland’s Interlaken and for having the second-highest cable car ride in the world. Another popular area is the Pahalgam Valley where adventurers take a break from sightseeing to try out a fun and chill experiences like learning to ride ponies, playing golf, and strolling around the Baisaran Meadows.

  • Mughal Gardens:-The Mughal (also spelled as Moghul) emperors built gardens from Tehran to Agra but it is in Kashmir, complemented by the lake and the mountains, that they reach their perfection. Indeed after houseboats and the mountains, it is these gardens for which Kashmir is most famous.
  • Dal Lake:-The Dal Lake which has a length of 8 Km long and a width of 4 Km, spreads over a total of 26 Sq. Km. The fascinating Dal Lake is divided into two smaller ones the Lokut (small) and Bod (big) Dal. The southwestern part of the lake has a maximum depth of approximately 12 M. the Dal Lake gets some of its water from spring but is also supplemented by water from the mountain lake, Mar Sar.
  • Gulmarg:-Golf Course in Gulmarg, situated at a height of 2,650 above sea level, is the highest green golf course in the world. This 18-hole golf course is completely managed by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation. Temporary membership, even for one day, is available at the club for the golfers. Gulmarg golf course, counted among the most beautiful golf courses in India, is composed of both slopes and inclines. This golf club was started by the British who used Gulmarg as a holiday resort. In 1904, this golf course was opened to golf lovers. In 1922, the first Golf Championship was organized at this golf course.
  • Thajiwas Glacier:-Thajiwas glacier at an altitude of 9,186 feet is a striking silvery scene set against emerald meadows and a clear blue sky. In summers, you can take a half-day hike to numerous waterfalls around this glacier. The road will be long and the journey hard but the captivating views make it worthwhile. On the way, have a friendly match with the local Gujjar kids who are almost always ready for a friendly snowball fight.
  • Kheer Bhawani Temple:-The Kheer Bhawani Temple, situated in the middle of a natural spring, is often visited by tourists out of curiosity. Devotees offer milk and kheer to the resident deity. Popular with all tourists, it is especially revered by the Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley. The architecture of the temple is simple yet beautifully created using smooth grey stones. Rumour has it that the waters turn black as a warning for any looming calamity.
  • Aru Valley:-While in Pahalgam, visit the last scenic village of the Lidder Valley, Aru. At a distance of 15 kilometers. from Pahalgam, it is the central point for any trek to the Kolahoi glacier, which is at an altitude of 18,000 feet. The drive up to Aru is an experience in itself, keep your cameras ready for some gorgeous shots of the Valley.
  • Baisaran Hills: -A few kilometers from Pahalgam is the Baisaran Hills enclosed by a dense forest of pines, firs, and cedars over the Lidder Valley, this makes for a perfect campsite.
  • Vaishno Devi:-Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, Trikuta and Vaishnavi, is a manifestation of the Hindu Goddess Mata Adi Shakti/Adi Parashakti. The words "Maa" and "Mata" are commonly used in India for mother, and thus are often heavily used in connection with Vaishno Devi

Day 01: Srinagar

On arrival at Srinagar pick from Srinagar Airport and transfer to Houseboat/Hotel.Relax and enjoy the lovelybeauty of the nature engulfing Srinagar with magical charm and splendor.Evening dinner and overnight stay in houseboat/Hotel.

Day 02:  Srinagar Local sightseeing 

After breakfast, checkout from the houseboat and leave for Darshan of Shankracharya Temple. AfterDarshan, sightseeing of Mughal Gardens, Cheshmashahi, Parimahal, BotanicalGarden, Shalimar Gardens, Zararwan Hills by road transport. Then visit the famous Hazratbal Shrine situated on the bank of Dal Lake. In the evening, free for shopping. Check into the hotel at Srinagar. Dinner and night stay.

Day 03: Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar (50 km one way)

After breakfast proceeds to Gulmarg-"Meadows of flowers by road transport. A short trek up toKhilanmarg (optional at guest own cost). Drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Srinagar-Sonmarg-Srinagar (80 km one way)

After breakfast leave for a full day trip to Sonmarg. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas Glacier a major attraction during summer months. In the evening drive back to Srinagar. Dinner and night stay at hotel.

Day 05: Srinagar-Pahalgam-Srinagar (87 km one way)

After early breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed to Pahalgam, on the way sightseeing of saffron fields & Awantipura ruins. Afternoon return back to Srinagar. Dinner & night stay at Srinagar.

Day 06:  Srinagar-Katra (264 Kms)

After breakfast in the morning, check out from the hotel and drive to Katra. On arrival, check into the hotel. Rest of the day free to explore Katra. Dinner & night stay in the hotel at Katra.

Day 07: Katra-Vaishno Devi-Katra (13 Kms trek one way)

After early breakfast, drop at Banganga for darshan of Vaishno Devi Temple (horse/dandi at guest own cost). Full day free for personal activities. Receive the guests from Bangangain the evening & drop at the hotel. Dinner & night stay at Katra.

Day 08: Katra-Jammu (55 Kms)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and now ready drive back to Srinagar, our representative will drop you at the airport/railway station to catch onwards your flight & return to home with sweet memories of the Kashmir Trekking tour.
