Sikkim is the state in northeastern India. It is the borders Tibet in the north & northeast, Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west, and West Bengal in the south. Sikkim is the also located close to India’s Siliguri Corridor near to Bangladesh. Sikkim is the least of populous & second smallest among the Indian states. The famous Ganesh Tok or Temple is located on a hill in the Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The Sikkim is not only famous for its amazing natural beauty, but also for various prominent pilgrimage destinations. The whole Sikkim is divided into 4 districts or zones East, West, North and South. East Sikkim is headquartered at Gangtok (also the capital of the state), West Sikkim at Geyzing (also known as Gyalsing) with Pelling and Pemayangtse being the two places of central attractions, North Sikkim is headquartered at Mangan (Lachung with Yumthang Valley and Lachen with Gurudongmar Lake being the two main attractions of the zone) and South Sikkim at the religious & cultural hub Namchi. There are numerous magnificent places to visit in each of these zones. Would you like to go deeper and explore one part of Sikkim at a time and soak in the unique natural beauty, landscapes and lifestyle of each place separately, then you will dig deeper into each zone of Sikkim and know about the various destinations and attractions in each.
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport NJP railway station, you will meet and assist by our representative and drive to Gangtok (120 km 03-04 hrs) (5,500ft.) on arrival Check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast at the hotel, you can go for visit Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers and 02 hours journey. After you can visit Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary. It is home of many migratory birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for the Indian Army and the people. Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers. Back to hotel dinner and Overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Namchi and visit sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery (24 Kms), Do-drul Chorten or Stupa. Tibetology, Cottage Industry and the Flower Show. Later we enjoy the Ropeway ride. Just beside Chorten, you will see the Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology. Then visit Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom & Flower Show. Post Gangtok Sightseeing drive to Namchi. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, Visit the famous tourist places Char Dham and Samdruptse Hill in Namchi. Afternoon drive to Darjeeling. Darjeeling standing high in the Himalayas at the altitude of 2134m, ‘Dorje Ling’, or place of the Thunderbolt, offers breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks, with the Kanchendzonga rising higher than all the others. Often referred to the “Queen of the Hills”, it remains just as alluring with its tiny waterfalls, little villages and a narrow-gauge railway track. Surrounded by the World Famous Tea Gardens and snowcapped mountains. Darjeeling is remains one of the most exotic destinations. Graeme West lake in the book ‘An introduction to hill stations on India’ refers to Darjeeling as having “A view Scarcely Unrivalled on Earth”. Upon arrival at Darjeeling, check into your hotel. The evening will be at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Early morning you can go to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak. After that way back you will visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop. Back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you can go for half-day sightseeing city tour Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, after that Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Back to the hotel. Back to the hotel Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast Check-out from the hotel transfer to Siliguri / Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay. he drives will be approximately 140 kilometers and is 04 - 05 hours drive.
