Overview

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world and in India, located at an altitude of 5,183 m, in the Indian state of Sikkim. It is considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs, and Hindus.

Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra / Jalpaiguri Railway Station – Gangtok (125 km 04 - 05 hours Journey):

On arrival at Jalpaiguri Railway station / Bagdogra Airport and meet our local representative who will assist you to board the vehicle and transfer to Gangtok. Arrival in Gangtok check-in dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 02: Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir:

After breakfast, you will be visiting Tsomgo Lake, a high-altitude lake that is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. After that, you will visit the Baba Mandir. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Gangtok – Lachen (118 Kms 05 - 06 hours journey):

In the morning after breakfast check out from the Gangtok hotel drive to Lachen (9,400 ft, 118 km) On the way you can visit Seven Sister Waterfalls. Check-in Lachen Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Lachen Hotel.

Day 04: Lachen – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung (44 km 02 - 03 hours Journey):

After morning breakfast you can go to visit Gurudongmar Lake (17,000ft). Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in North Sikkim. Check-in hotel dinner and overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 05: Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Gangtok (118 kms 05 - 06 hours journey):

After morning breakfast proceed to Yumthang Valley which is Known as Valley of Flowers ( 25 Kms 02-03 hours one way). Check-in the hotel overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 06: Gangtok - Pelling (120 km 04 - 05 hours Journey

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive Gangtok to Pelling. On the way, you can visit Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Seward Rock Garden, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. Tonight, stay at a hotel in Pelling.

Day 07: Pelling Local sightseeing:

After morning breakfast you can go for Pelling Local sightseeing. You can visit Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake. It is one of the holy Buddhist lakes. The myth is that when placid falls a leaf on the surface of clear water, t has been raised by the bird and thus the surface of the water is always free from leaves, the panoramic view of the Kichhopalari monastery, the Kanchenjunga waterfall, the Pemayangtse monastery, the Rabdantse ruins, the top of the ruins to the mystic heights of Kanchendzonga. Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 08: Pelling – Bagdogra Airport / Railway Station (148 kms 05 - 06 hours Journey):

After breakfast check out from the Pelling hotel and drive to Bagdogra Airport /Jalpaiguri railway station to catch your flight/train and return home with sweet memories of the tour.
