Pelling is the small hill town in the district of West Sikkim, India. Pelling is the nestled at an altitude of 2,150 m (7,200 feet). The town is located at a distance of (10 km) from the district headquarters of Geyzing and 131km from Gangtok. A regular bus service connects the two towns. Pelling is sometimes covered with a blanket of snow in the months of winter. Pelling is 115 km from the state capital Gangtok and it is about 135 km from Siliguri which connects by regular jeep to the towns of nearby places in and around Sikkim. The best time of visit this captivating place is between the months of September to May, winter season & the onset of summers is the most favorable time to travel to Pelling. Monsoon season is the least preferred season, as, during this period, Pelling receives torrential rains. After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to visit full Day Sight Seeing of Pelling and its surroundings. The routes are forested and the botanical and zoological richness is inspiring - Places of visit Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake. It is the holy Buddhist lake and it is believed that any wish in front of the lake comes true. Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface. It is the picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves, Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga Water Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins , the sceic view from the top of mystic heights of Kanchendzonga ranges is something to be cherished. After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to visit Yuksom sightseeing . The Chogyal established the first monastery at Yuksom in Sikkim known as the Dubdi Monastery in 1701, which is part of Buddhist religious pilgrimage circuit .The Tibetan Buddhist monastery, Dubdi Monastery, is the located in the area & also the smaller Mallu Monastery .Established in 1701, Dubdi Monastery professes to be the oldest monastery in Sikkim and is located at top of the hill about an hour's walk from Yuksom. It is also known as the Hermit's Cell after its reclusive founder Lhatsun Namkha Jigme. After that visit Darap Home stray. The Dzongri Trek starts from Yuksom. It is also the entry point of Kanchendzonga National Park. Overnight stay at Pelling.
