Overview

Delhi, India’s capital territory, is a massive metropolitan area in the country’s north. In Old Delhi, a neighborhood dating to the 1600s, stands the imposing Mughal-era Red Fort, a symbol of India, and the sprawling Jama Masjid mosque, whose courtyard accommodates 25,000 people. Nearby is Chandni Chowk, a vibrant bazaar filled with food carts, sweets shops, and spice stalls.

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself.

Mirik is a small town and a municipality of Darjeeling district in the state of West BengalIndia. It is the headquarters of the Mirik subdivision. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning “place burnt by fire”.

This beautiful tourist destination is being surrounded by tea gardens, colorful orchards, and cardamom plantations. Mirik Lures tourists from all over the world by its charm and mild climate. Located at the altitude of 5,800 feet Mirik has a very low population of almost 10,000 but still, it has everything to make it one of the best Hill station of India.

Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi

On arrival at Delhi Airport/Railway station, you will meet and assist by our representative and drive to Delhi hotel. Check into the hotel. In the evening explore local markets. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi – Agra – Delhi

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to visit Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his beloved Queen Mumtaz Mahal And then proceed to visit Agra Fort is the Royal residential palaces, the Halls of Public and Private Audience and beautiful gardens.
In the evening drive back to Delhi hotel. Overnights stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Bagdogra – Darjeeling

After having breakfast, hit the roads to the Delhi airport to catch a flight to Bagdogra. Darjeeling is a paradise for peace lovers and looks beautiful even during monsoon. Teesta River meanders into the town and provides excellent opportunities for river rafting.
Upon reaching Bagdogra airport, our tour representative will assist you towards the car which will take you to Darjeeling. The scenic hill town is home to emerald green tea gardens, pines and rhododendrons trees and the Himalayan toy train which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the way, you can visit the Teesta River which adds to the charm of the place. In the evening explore local markets. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Darjeeling - Mirik – Darjeeling

After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to visit Mirik (60 km 01-02 hours’ drive). The drive is through scenic roads with an occasional stoppage for photography. Mirik is centered round Samendu Lake and is known for its landscaped gardens, tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom groves and spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges - Full day excursion tour of Mirik Lake (Horse riding & Boating facilities are available around the lake. This is a high altitude lake is worth visiting. After that, you can visit Pashupatinagar Market in Nepal on the way back to Darjeeling. In the evening explore the mall & Local market area. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 5: Darjeeling

Early Morning ( 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. worlds 3rd highest peak) & visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PN Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. In the evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnights stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Darjeeling - Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel, you can go for visit Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers and 02 hours journey. After you can visit Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary. It is home of many migratory birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for the Indian Army and the people. Nathu La Pass to the Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers. Overnight stay.

Day 7: Gangtok - Rumtek - Gangtok

Eat a healthy breakfast. Start a full-day trip to the Rumtek Monastery. And also known as the Dharmachakra Centre, the three-storeyed gompa is truly beautiful. Some of the rarest Buddhist religious artwork in the form of thankas and wall murals are meticulously exhibited at the monastery. Perched over a hill, the vihara offers scenic views of the entire Gangtok. The Rumtek monastery embodies the vision and aspiration of the Sixteenth Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, to establish his seat-in-exile to help spread the teachings of the Buddha throughout the world.
Drive back to Gangtok in the evening for an overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 8: Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to visiting the Ranka Monastery. Also called as the Lindum Monastery, the vihara is the most wonderful one. Offering scenic views, the gompa is considered as the picture-perfect monastery in East Sikkim.
And the Saramsa Garden, the park is ideal for recreation, leisure, and picnic. Earlier, the place was used for growing a medicinal plant but after the practice was discontinued, the garden became a picnic spot. And now, it is dotted with banana, orange, lychee, guava and pineapple trees.
From there, you will be taken to the Ganesh Tok View Point. The Ganesh Tok is the temple which is devoted to Lord Ganesh. An exciting ritual grabs attention. The visitors plant a sapling on the ground nearby the temple on behalf of those they love. The place also steals the limelight for beguiling with the panoramic views of the entire Gangtok.
The tour continues towards the Enchey Monastery. The Enchey Monastery is the ‘solitary temple’. The attractive vihara is a pilgrimage for the flowers of Buddhism. The mystical wonderland is perched amidst nature’s bounty. Enchey Monastery is 200 years old monastery gives devotees a feeling of being present at a blessed and serene destination.
Another most popular place to visit in Gangtok is the Do-Drul Chorten Stupa. The huge stupa features a golden top dome. The dome is visible from various places in Gangtok. And 108 prayer wheels with mantras inscribed on them in Tibetan encapsulate the stupa.
Subsequently, hit the roads to Tashi viewpoint. Marvel at the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga. Overnight stay.

Day 9: Gangtok - Phuentsoling

After breakfast at the hotel proceeds to visit Phuentsholing. And Bhutan, Phuentsholing is a lively city. On the way, you can enjoy awe-inspiring sceneries and emerald green jungles covering the mountains and with clouds hovering above your head. On arrival at the Phuentsholing. Check-in at the hotel. Overnights at the hotel.

Day 10: Pheuntsoling - Thimphu

Proceed towards Thimphu early in the morning. The unique city enjoys an unusual amalgamation of modern development along with the ancient culture. And drive through the beautiful valleys and passes offering spectacular views.
After reaching, complete the check-in formalities. The whole day is at your leisure. Take pleasure in doing activities that lure you. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Spend the evening by strolling at the nearby places. Go shopping or get insights about the place.

Day 11: Thimpu

A full day sightseeing tour of the Thimphu Valley is scheduled for you after breakfast. The valley is a juxtaposition of the old and new.
Post lunch, you will be taken to the National Institute for Zorig Chusum. The institute is usually known as the ‘painting school’ runs 4-6 years courses which make the students learn about the 13 traditional arts of Bhutan. Students master the art of woodcarving, painting, embroidery and statue making.
Thereafter, you will be traveling to the National Institute of Traditional Medicine. The Institute gathers medicinal plants from the remote corners of Himalayas of Bhutan and then distributes tablets, pills, and ointments to the regional health-care unit across the country.
The Memorial Chorten is next stopover in the list. And Thimphu Chorten is a stupa built to honor the third Druk Gyalpo. The golden spires and bells make the stupa, an iconic landmark in Bhutan. The stupa doesn’t preserve any human remains. Only a photo of the Druk Gyalpo adorns the hall.
From there, the next destination is the National Library of Bhutan. A national library was built with a motive of ‘preservation and promotion of the rich cultural and religious heritage’. The library is also a treasure trove of literary works of the several hundred years.
Enjoy a sound sleep at the hotel in Thimphu.

Day 12: Thimphu - Wangdi – Punakha

Start moving towards Punakha via Wangdi via Niizergang. And situated 70km to the southeast of Thimphu, Wangdi is a scenic place. Wangdi is an enthralling trek towards Wangdi passes by the ever-changing vegetation which presents a sight to behold.
Upon reaching Punakha, check-in at the pre-decided hotel. Punakha is a town which is famed for a 17th-century fortress known as Punakha Dzong. In the afternoon, you will be visiting the Punakha Dzong. In the evening explore the local bazaar to enjoy shopping. Overnight stay.

Day 13: Punakha - Paro

Enjoy a healthy platter of breakfast. Afterward, leave for Paro. A historic town, Paro is dotted with historical edifices and sacred places. And the ideal blend of marvelous natural beauty and ancient history prevails at Paro. The town is perfect for partaking in an adventure activity. On the way, marvel at the captivating view of the Paro Valley.
Take a break at the Simtokha Dzong. The Simtokha Dzong means ‘Palace of the Profound Meaning of Secret Mantras’.
After reaching Paro, complete the check-in formalities. A scrumptious lunch is arranged in the hotel. Later on, you will be taken to the Ta-Dzong (Watchtower). The rare round building features the shape of a conch shell. A number of thangkas are exhibited here.
Get ready to visit the Jangtsa Dumtseg Lhakhang. The temple owns a shape of a chorten which is very rare in Bhutan. The temple is considered a unique repository of the Drukpa Kagyu School.
Afterward, you will be traveling to the Kyichu Lhakhang. The Himalayan Buddhist shrine is one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 14: Paro

Drive from Pachu to Drukgyal Dzong early in the morning. Currently, in its ruins, Drukgyal Dzong was earlier a Buddhist Monastery and a fortress. The place is also cited in the tentative list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. En-route, you can witness the spectacular view of the Bhutanese farmhouses.
After that, start climbing a hill to reach the Taktsang Monastery. The sacred temple is nestled on a Cliffside. The shrine is devoted to Guru Padmasambhava who is the revered deity of Bhutan.
An overnight stay is arranged in a hotel at Paro.

Day 15: Paro - Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to Paro airport to board a flight to Delhi. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. In the evening explore the Local Markets. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day: 16 Delhi- Sightseeing- Delhi -Departure

After breakfasts explore the country’s capital, Delhi is the city which gives you a glimpse of famous monuments, Temples, Gurudwaras, and many more it has everything to offer you. The tour includes India Gate, Red Fort, ( known Lal Quila closed on Monday), President’s House, Raj ghat and Lotus Temple, Humayun's tomb, Qutub Minar.
In the evening transfer to Delhi Aiport and Railway Station.
