Garhwal- This is in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand lies the holy place of Yamunotri. About 3,293 meters above the sea level, Yamunotri stands proudly with its enormous mountain peaks, glaciers and gushing waters of Yamuna. The Yamuna River is the second most sacred river of India, originates in Yamunotri, making it one of the pilgrimage sites in the Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. Gangotri: – This is a town and a Nagar Panchayat (municipality) in Uttarkashi district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is on the Greater Himalayan Range, at a height of 3,100 meters (10,200 ft.).
On arrival at Haridwar, and then will drive towards Rishikesh. Arrival at Rishikesh check-in at the resort. Enjoy welcome drink go for a jungle trek to the waterfall and then after trekking go-to base jungle camp. After lunch, then spend some free time to explore the area. Do rock climbing and rappelling enjoy evening bonfire with light snacks. Have dinner. Overnight at the camp.
After breakfast, start on a river rafting from Shivpuri to Rishikesh (19 km). Hit the most exciting rapids on the Ganga i.e. you can try body surfing and cliff jumping also in this rafting section. Later float past temples and ashrams and Ghats. Enjoy the riverbank life along the Ganga. Evening enjoys a bonfire with light snacks. Have dinner and overnight at the camp.
After breakfast drive to Barkot. It is approx. 169km in 05 hrs. Journey. En-route you will visit Kempty fall at Mussoorie. On arrival at Barkot check-in the hotel. Overnight stay at Barkot.
After breakfast drive to Janki Chatti and then your trek will be starting for Yamunotri. You will cover the trekking distance either by walk or ride horses or on Doli. One side distance for the fourth day is 36 Km drive and 7 Km trek.
At Yamunotri taking bath in Jamnabai Kund and dip raw rice or potato in Surya Kund, after cooking use it as Prasad. Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila and to the main deity Yamunaji. After that, drive back to Barkot for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will ready to drive Uttarkashi. On arrival at Uttarkashi check into the hotel. After freshen up, take a rest and explore the area. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
On this day we will start our day a bit early in the morning and leave for a day tour to Gangotri via Harsil. On reaching, we will visit the Gangotri temple for offering prayers and darshan. After that, we will drive back to our hotel in Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
Gangotri is a famous Hindu pilgrim center located on the banks of the river Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand state in India. It is known for holding the Gangotri Temple that is believed to be the origin place of holy River Ganges.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and back to Haridwar. Our representative will transfer you to Haridwar Railway Station. You will back home with sweet memories of the charming Gangotri Dham Tour.
