At the eastern end of Diu Island, Diu is a coastal town in India. A bridge connects the island to the state of Gujarat. The Arabian Sea, Diu Fort, features a lighthouse and cannons. Inland, centuries-old St. Paul’s Church was built in elaborate baroque style. Here you can see whitewashed St. Thomas Church, which is now home to the Diu Museum, with wooden carvings and religious artifacts.
On arrival at Rajkot Airport/railway station from there you will meet and assist by our representative and now you will ready at the hotel. On reaching the hotel, check-in hotel. After breakfast, drive to Diu, which is known for its old churches and historic forts. During the tour, you can visit Gangeshwar Temple, which is situated near the seashore and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. A highlight of this holy site is that it houses five shillings. As per a legend, these shillings were built by the Pandavas during their 12-year exile. Another place worth visiting in this town is Panikotha Fort, which has been constructed in the shape of a ship. The fort can be reached from the Diu jetty by a boat ride. There are a chapel and a lighthouse on the premises of this magnificent structure. Besides exploring this historical fort, you can also visit the Diu Fort. Built between AD 1535 and 1541 by the Portuguese, this imposing structure is surrounded by sea on three sides. Even though in ruins, the fort shows glimpses of the military defenses of the erstwhile Portuguese rulers of this region. After the sightseeing tour, you can spend the remaining of the day at leisure by going on beach walks or water sports at the seashore. Stay overnight at the hotel.
