Mirik is a small town and a municipality of Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. It is the headquarters of the Mirik Subdivision. The name Mirik comes from the Lepcha words Mir-Yok meaning “place burnt by fire”.
This beautiful tourist destination is being surrounded by tea gardens, colorful orchards, and cardamom plantations. Mirik Lures tourists from all over the world by its charm and mild climate. Located at the altitude of 5,800 feet Mirik has a very low population of almost 10,000 but still, it has everything to make it one of the best Hill station of India.

Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around at 4:00 am) to morning view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather ) on your way back visit Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastery. After Breakfast city tour of Darjeeling visit Padmaja Naidu Himalaya Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway (on your own cost), Tenzing Rock & Gombu Rock & Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday) and you will Visit Peace Pagoda,Japanese Temple, Lalkothi (D.G.H.C.Assembly not allowed inside) & Rock Garden (on your own cost). Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
After Morning Breakfast at the Hotel & Full day Sight Seeing of Mirik (60km 2-3 hrs)(Mirik is a beautiful small hill station with a beautiful Natural lake overviewing of Mighty Kanchenjunga ( Third Highest Peak in the world) at the height of around 5,500 ft. Boating at the lake or Horse Riding in the bank of Lake is available. The Journey to Darjeeling to Mirik through lush green forests & tea gardens is really mesmerizing) & Pashupati market in Nepal.
