Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state situated in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite it will remain the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway or “Toy Train” completed in 1881. It is famous for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its has backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga among the world’s highest peaks.
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport NJP railway station, you will meet and assist by our
representative and drive to Darjeeling (75 km / 3 hrs) (6,950 ft.) on arrival Check-in to
hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
After breakfast, (3 am) drive to Tiger Hill (8500 ft) for sunrise view over the mountains.
View 4 Giants of Himalaya i.e. Mt.Everest, Mt.Makalu, Mt.Lhotse and
Mt.Khangchendzonga (all above 8000 meters) from Tiger Hill. Drive back to Town.
After breakfast go for a mixed point sightseeing of Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda,
Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
(Closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Free & Leisure the time or walk around
the Mall (Chowrasta)Featured Attractions: Ghoom Monastery, Peace Pagoda, Padmaja
Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Happy Valley Tea Gardens, Tiger Hill, Japanese
Temple, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, Batashiya Loop, Tenzing Rock
After breakfast, drive to Mirik and visit the Sumendu Lake. Boating at the Lake and
Horse-riding. Drive back to Darjeeling. you will visit Pashupati Market (Indo-Nepal
Border town/subjected to the availability of the permit from Nepalese Customs/Defence)
Stop by Lepcha Jagat to view Mt.Khanchendzonga and its adjacent peaks. Overnight stay
at the Hotel.
After Breakfast, drive to Kalimpong via Teesta. You will visit Durbin Monastery, Deolo
Hill, Dr.Graham's Homes. Lunch at Kalimpong. After Lunch Drive to Darjeeling. Free &
Leisure time. Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast Check-out from the hotel and take the departure transfers to Bagdogra
NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & return to home with sweet memories of Sikkim,
