Overview

Nagaland is a state in northeastern India. The state capital is Kohima and the largest city is Dimapur. There are 16 inhabitant tribes in this state:- Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Kachari, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Kuki, Lotha, Phom, Pochury, Rengma, Sangtam, Sumi, Yimchunger, and Zeme-Liangmai (Zeliang). Each tribe is unique in a character with its own distinct customs, language, and dress. Mount Saramati is that the highest peak at three,840 meters and its range forms a natural barrier between Nagaland and Burma. Nagaland is home to the Bhut Jolokia or ghost pepper, one of the hottest chilis in the world at 855,000 SHU on the Scoville scale. All the tribes of Nagaland have their own cookery, and that they use a great deal of meat, fish, and fermented products in their dishes. Galho is a vegetarian porridge cooked with rice, leaves, and condiments. Drinks include zutho and thutse, beers made with sticky rice.

  • LOKTAK:-For any visitor, the principal attraction of the state is the Loktak Lake in Bishnupur District which is 48kms from Imphal City and it is the largest freshwater lake in North-East India. It is a beautiful stretch of water resembling a miniature inland sea. A day spent at Loktak Lake is a lifetime of memory. Visitors can catch a bird’s eye view of the lake from Sendra. Fishermen living in floating islands called Phumdis in floating huts known as Phumsangs are unique sights of this lake.
  • KAKCHING:-Kakching is a town in the Kakching area in the Indian province of Manipur. It is the area headquarter of Kakching locale and a noteworthy business center point in Manipur. Kakching has been pronounced as the cleanest town in North East India on May 18, 2018. It is arranged in the southeastern piece of Manipur. Socially the town is exceptionally wealthy in numerous fields, for example, Nat Sankritan, Meitei pung Sholom, Martial Arts, Thang-Ta, Satjal, Mukna, and Kanji.

Itinerary

Day 01: Dimapur- IMPHAL

On arrival at Dimapur Airport/Railway Station from there, you will meet and assist by our representative and now you will ready to drive to IMPHAL. On arrival at IMPHAL check In the hotel take some rest. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: IMPHAL - LOKTAK

Full day sightseeing –Govindajee Temple, Loktak lake(largest freshwater lake in the northeast), INA Memorial(Indian tricolor was first hoisted here by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army), Japanese War Memorial, War Cemetery. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: IMPHAL - MOREH - IMPHAL ( 110 Kms /3-4 Hrs one way)

Leave early in the morning to visit the Indo-Myanmar Border Town of Moreh. On reaching there we will cross over to the Myanmar side to see altogether a different culture and lifestyle in their nearest town of Tamu. There we will make a quick visit to the Buddhist Pagoda and the Local Market, then spend some time in the Namphalong market. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: IMPHAL - ANDRO - KAKCHING - IMPHAL

Visit Andro-The place is famed for its fireplace which is never allowed to get extinguish) 27 km towards east of Imphal is the ancient Scheduled Caste village of Andro, there is one Cultural Complex established by the Mutua Museum. The place is a favorite picnic spot for visitors these days. Later drive up to Kakching to visit the beautiful Kakching Garden. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: IMPHAL - Dimapur – Departure

After breakfast checkout from the hotel now ready drive to Dimapur airport/railway station, our representative will drop you at the airport /railway station to catch onward your flight/train & return home with Sweet memories of Charming IMPHAL Tour.
