The temple at Bhimashankar (Dist: Pune, Maharashtra) is worshipped as the sixth Shiva Temple in Baraa Jyotirlingas (twelve sacred phallic symbols of Lord Shiva) scattered all over India.
Morning departure to Bhimashankar. En-route breakfast at Peth. On arrival darshan and visit local points by Walk. After lunch free time and proceed to visit Shivneri Fort, Shivneri is known to be a place of Buddhist dominion from the 1st century AD. Chatrapati Shivaji born at this fort on 19 February 1630, and spent his childhood there. Inside the fort, there is a small temple dedicated to the goddess Shivai Devi, after whom Shivaji was named. Overnight stay at Ozar.
After breakfast proceeds to Naneghat, Naneghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats. During the reign of the Satavahana (200 BCE–190 CE), the pass was extensively used as a trade route between Kalyan and Junnar. After lunch proceeds to Malshej Ghat. Enjoy the Waterfalls of Malshej Ghat. Evening proceeds to Pune. and Drop you Pune Airport or railway station.
