Sikkim is the state in northeastern India. It is the borders Tibet in the north & northeast, Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west, and West Bengal in the south. Sikkim is the also located close to India’s Siliguri Corridor near to Bangladesh. Sikkim is the least of populous & second smallest among the Indian states. The famous Ganesh Tok or Temple is located on a hill in the Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. The capital of Sikkim is not only famous for its amazing natural beauty, but also for various prominent pilgrimage destinations. Places to visit in Sikkim include Tsomgo Lake, Nathula Pass, Yuksom, Lachung, Lachen, Yumthang Valley, Teesta River, Ravangla, Pelling, Zuluk, Namchi, Khangchendzonga National Park, Rumtek Monastery and many other beautiful places.
On Arrival at Darjeeling Railway Station, you will meet and assist by our representative and drive to Darjeeling Hotel, Known as the 'Queen of the Hills', Darjeeling is one of the most famous hill stations in the world. Check-in at the hotel.In the evening visit Nightingale Park by walking. and overnights stay at the hotel.
The morning before dawn at 4 am proceed to visit Tiger Hill to watch the breathtaking sunrise and its reflection rays over the Khancendzonga Ranges. And on the way back Visit Batasia Loop and Ghoom Monastery back to the hotel at 7 am. After Freshen up & breakfast at the hotel visit to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Zoological Park and Tenzing Rock, Tea Garden, Japanese Temple, Refugee self-help centre and ropeway.
After Breakfast at the hotel proceeds to Kalimpong (50km) a beautiful hill town in a peaceful environment max.2:5 hours drive, if you are going via Mansong vehicle will get through the Cinchona plantation forest on the roadside. check-in hotel. In the evening explore the Kalimpong market by walking(closed at 7 pm). Overnights stay at the Kalimpong.
After Breakfast at the hotel proceeds to Gangtok (170 km 5 hours journey) capital of Sikkim a beautiful hill town in northeast state via mighty Teesta River valley, reach Gangtok check in hotel and evening individual activities.
After Breakfast at the hotel and start for an excursion to Changu Lake (12,400 ft.) & Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 km from Gangtok city. The serene lake has situated an altitude of (12,000 ft )on the Gangtok Nathu La highway. The lake is an oval in shape (15 meters)deep & the lake considered sacred by the local people. It is also a home of brahminy ducks. It is cool and placid water harmonizes with the scenic beauty around. This placid lake best visit to the winter months up to mid-May. In the evening back to Gangtok hotel. Overnights stay at the Gangtok hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel ready to drive to Lachen (9,400 ft, 118 km). On the way, you can visit the Seven Sister Waterfalls. and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the way (by own cost). Check-in at the hotel in the late afternoon.
After breakfast at the hotel drive to visit Gurudongmar Lake (17,000ft). Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest situated lakes in the North Sikkim. The altitude here is may cause breathing problem so be careful. Later return back to Lachung.
After Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to Yumthang Valley which is known as Valley of Flowers (12,000 ft. Known as Valley of Flowers) & Zero Point (Closed on Monday & Tuesday ) etc. On the way, you can visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. In the evening back to Gangtok hotel. Overnights stay at the hotel.
After Breakfast check out the hotel and transfers to Bagdogra NJP Railway Station / IXB Airport & return to home with sweet memories of Sikkim, Darjeeling Gangtok Holidays Tour.
