Panipat is a historical city in the state of Haryana situated 90 kilometers north of Delhi. It is popularly known as “ City of Weavers” because of its handloom products which are exported all over the country and abroad.
It has a place in the pages of Indian history as three historic battles were fought on this land. Major attractions include – Hemu’s Samadhi Sthal, Ibrahim Lodhi’s Tomb, Babur’s Kabuli Bagh Mosque, Kala Amb, Panipat Museum, Devi Temple and Salar Gunj. The best time to visit is in the months between October and January.
