Overview

Darjeeling is a town in India’s West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It’s famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.

Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, Tibet, and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers. Steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries such as Pemayangtse, which dates to the early 1700s.

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport at from there, you will meet and assist by our representative and now you will ready to drive de. Check-in the hotel take some rest and freshen & proceeds to the evening you may take a leisurely walk to explore the pulsating nightlife of Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi- Darjeeling

In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Delhi airport to board a flight to Bagdogra. On reaching Bagdogra, sit back in the car, waiting to take you to Darjeeling. And drive to Darjeeling enjoy the view of terrace tea plantation gardens and the tiny villages. On reaching Darjeeling, check-in at one of our listed hotels. In the evening you may take a leisurely wake to explore the nearby area of Darjeeling. Stay the night at the hotel.

Day 3: Darjeeling

In the morning drive straight to Tiger Hill to witness a beautiful sunrise. Later move to visit the Ghoom monastery. Ghoom monastery there is a giant size image of Maitreya Buddha. This monastery stores some of the rare Buddhist manuscripts. After that, proceed to a sightseeing tour of Darjeeling. Day 4: Darjeeling – Maneybhanjang – Tonglu

In the morning drive to Maneybhanjang. Maneybhanjang is located at an altitude of6600ft above sea level on the Indo-Nepal border, Maneybhanjang is an important place as all trekkers have to stay one night at Maneybhanjang for acclimatization before the start of the trek. On reaching Maneybhanjang, take a stroll to the crowded market Maneybhanjang, providing a panoramic view of the glorious Kunchanjungha Mountains over Darjeeling hills. After the visit, continue trek to Tonglu. And while trekking to Tonglu passes through the forest in the eastern Himalayas, offering a panoramic view of snow-covered covered mountains such as Pandim, Makalu, and the Kanchenjungha. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Tonglu – Garibas

After breakfast & take a mossy paved path, zigzag through a succession of forests and hamlets. Enjoy a spectacular view of mountain sceneries. On reaching Garibas, check-in at one of our listed camp accommodation. And in the evening you may move out to explore the nearby area of Paribas. Dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Garibas – Sandakphu

In the morning and afterward, continue the trek to Sandakphu. Sandakphu part of the trek is very steep and will require 4 to 5 hours of walking. On reaching Sandalkphu the highest point of the trek, enjoy the breathtaking views of Mt. Everest and the Kanchenjunga range. Dinner and overnight stay at camp.

Day 7: Sandakphu – Phalut

In the morning we walk to a prominent viewpoint for the magnificent sunrise over the Kanchenjunga, Jannu, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyo. During the day, there are ever-changing views: yak herds, silvery pine forests, tiny lakes ringed with grass, and the snow-capped Himalayan range in the background.

Day 8: Phalut – Rambam

In the morning proceeds to trek Rambam. And during the trek traverse the rugged terrain to enjoy the view of picturesque Samanden village- “The Lost Valley”. And pass the well-terraced flat with green vegetation along with the bright yellow flowers of the mustard plants which dot the landscape. Then take a short walk that will lead to Rambam. Rest and relax in one of the listed camps. Dinner and overnight stay at the camps.

Day 9: Rammam - Rimbik

After breakfast, trek to Rimbik. The first half of the trek to Rimbik is through forests that house a wide variety of Orchids and wildflowers. And while on the trek also observe some species of rear and exotic birds. And after passing through numerous villages and crossing over a remarkable suspension bridge reach Rimbik. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Rimbik – Pelling

In the morning drive to Pelling, a small town situated in the western Sikkim region. On reaching Pelling, check-in the hotel. After that, you can visit Sangachoeling Monastery. And also enjoy an excursion at the Change Waterfalls. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11: Pelling – Pemayangtse – Yuksom

After breakfast at the hotel & drive Pelling to reach Yuksom. And stop midway to visit Pemayangtse Monastery. The Pemayangtse Monastery is located on an altitude of 2800 mts it is one of the oldest and most impressive gompas in Sikkim. After the visit continues drive to Yuksom. The Yuksom is surrounded by an array of religious sites. The town is also popular among the trekkers. Yuksom is the major tourist attractions to visit in Yuksom include Rathong Chu River, Khecheopalri Lake, the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, The Dubdi Monastery, and the Kartik Monastery. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12: Yuksom – Tashiding – Martam

After breakfast at the hotel drive to Martam. One the way you can visit Tashiding Monastery located at a distance of 19 Km to the south-east of Yuksom. Tashuding Monastery is perched on the top of a hill located between the Rangit River and Rathong River. After that visit resume drive to Martam village. On reach Martam village, check-in at one of our listed hotels. And during the stay enjoy village life and adventure activities. After that proceed for a day trip to forest on foot to explore the rich flora and fauna of the region, observing many species of birds and animals which are exotic in nature. If time permits you may also visit Chorten Monastery. Retire for the night in the hotel.

Day 13: Martam - Gangtok

In the morning drive to Gangtok by surface. On reaching Gangtok, get accommodated at one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. After that straightening your back for a while, proceed to visit the major tourist attractions of Gangtok. Gangtok is the major tourist attractions of Gangtok including Ganesh Tok and the Rumtek Monastery. In the evening enjoy an excursion to Tsomgo Lake. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 14: Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel and proceed to visit the Orchid Sanctuary to see a few of the 454 orchid species listed in Sikkim. After that visit the Enchey and Do Drul monasteries along with Tibetology institute that exhibits a rich collection of Thankas paintings and the religious works in the world. Dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 15: Gangtok – Bagdogra

After breakfast at the hotel & drive to Bagdogra airport to board a flight to Delhi. On reach at Delhi check into the hotel. In the evening explore the local market. Dinner & overnights stay at the hotel.

Day 16: Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel and proceeds to Delhi sightseeing. The national capital of India is dotted with a large number of tourist attractions. The major tourist attractions scheduled for the day include Lotus temple, India Gate, Raj Ghat, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort, and Qutub Minar. In the evening explore the Akshardham temple for its beautiful architecture and design. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 17: Departure

In the morning check out the hotel and transfer to Delhi airport to board a flight to for your onward journey.
