Shree Samaleswari, the presiding deity of Sambalpur, is a strong religious force in the western part of Orissa and Chhattisgarh state of India. On the bank of the river Mahanadi, the mother goddess Samaleswari is worshipped from ancient times as Jagatjanani, Adishakti, Mahalaxmi, and Mahasaraswati. The region in which the temple is situated has a rich cultural heritage. Sambalpur region is popularly known as Hirakhanda from ancient times. Ptolemy has described the place as Sambalak, According to Tavernier, the French traveler, and Edward Gibbon, the English historian, diamonds were exported to Rome from Sambalpur. Karlapat Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary located in Kalahandi district and a very popular tourist attraction of Odisha in India. Karlapat Wildlife Sanctuary is about 15 km from Bhawanipatna, the district headquarters of Kalahandi district. The sanctuary covers an area of 175 square kilometers.

After breakfast checkout from the hotel. Now ready to drive toward Sambalpur ( 255km 06-07 hrs journey ) On arrival check-in the hotel take some rest then you can visit forSamaleswariTemple. This is a Hindu temple, India dedicated to the goddess known as 'Maa', also known among the natives as samaleimaa, meaning MotherSamaleswari.Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast, you will proceed for Khalasuni Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a nature lover's dream and the variety and splendor of the wildlife and nature's bounty accentuate the state's panoramic rhapsodies. This sanctuary mostly famous for greenery, serene landscape and cascading waterfalls, and a variety of flora and fauna is one of the most attractive places in Odisha. Dinner and stay overnight at the Hotel.
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Bilaspur for departure. The trip ends here.
