Overview

Sri Muktsar Sahib District is located in South Western Zone of Punjab. It is bounded by States of Rajas-than and Haryana in the South, district Faridkot in North, Firozpur in West and Bathinda in the East.
Amritsar is a city in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab, 28 kilometers from the border with Pakistan. At the center of its walled old town, the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib) is the holiest gurdwara (religious complex) of the Sikh religion. It’s at the end of a causeway, surrounded by the sacred Amrit Sarovar tank (lake), where pilgrims bathe. The District Ferozepur is situated at India Pakistan border, at the east side Faridkot district, Moga district and at the south side Muktsar District is situated. On the northeast, the River Sutlej generally separates it from the FIROZPUR and Kapurthala districts and on the south west side, the Fazilka district touches the boundaries of Ferozepur. The united stream of the Sutlej and Beas generally separates it from the Amritsar district in the north-west, and farther down from the Pakistan with the exception of some areas on each side of the river.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Amritsar

On arrival at the Amritsar railway station meet our representative to get checked into your pre-booked hotel in Amritsar. Take a rest in your hotel. In evening visit Golden Temple also Known as (Harimandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib). Overnight stays at the hotel.

Day 02: Amritsar – Muktsar Sahib (3 hours /171 km)

After breakfast precedes Amritsar to Muktsar Sahib Start your tour to visit in Mukta Minar, located near the District Administrative Complex, and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The concrete body of the minar is covered by steel. There is an open-air theatre built to commemorate 300 years of martyrdom of the Chali Mukte, the 40 Sikhs, who died fighting near the lake of Khidrana. After this, you can visit in Gurudwara Tibbi Sahib. It was constructed during the 18th century. In 1843, it was reconstructed by Sodhi Man Singh. It was renovated during the 1950s by Baba Baghel Singh, a follower of Sant Gurumukhi Singh. There is a square-shaped pavilion above the sanctum with a lotus dome and decorative marble kiosks. Gurudwara Tambu Sahib is situated at the place where the Sikh warriors hid behind trees. The new building of the Gurudwara was built during the 1980s and has a high ceiling domed hall, with a gallery and a sanctum. Next and last you can visit Sri Darbar Sahib. Sri Darbar Sahib was established by the Sikh families who settled in the area in 1743. The renovation work was carried out by Bhai Desu Singh and Bhai Lal Singh, the chiefs of Kaithal. During the 1880s, a tower and a flag post were constructed at the Gurudwara by Maharaja Hira Singh of Nabha. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Firozpur -Amritsar –Departure
