The Manimahesh Lake is a high altitude lake situated close to the Manimahesh Kailash Peak in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, in the Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. This lake is situated at an altitude of 13,000 feet at the foot of the Kailash peak (18,564 ft). On the eighth day of the light half of the moon in the month of Bhadon, a fair is held at this lake in every year, which attracts thousands of pilgrims who meet here to take a dip in the holy water. At one corners side of the Manimahesh lake is a marble image of Shiva which is worshipped by the pilgrims who visit this place. After bathing in the holy waters, the pilgrims go around the circle of the lake three times. The lake and its surroundings present a attractive and very beautiful view. The silent waters of the lake carry the reflection of snow capped peaks that carry over the valley. The pilgrims have to trek for 13 kms to reach Manimahesh Peak.
Day 01:
On arrival at Delhi in evening time move to volvo station and drive to Dharamshala by Sami Slipper Volvo Coach (475km 10 hours) overnight journey.
Day 02:
Arrival at Dharamshala by early in the morning and Check in the hotel for relax after taking some rest you can explore local market enjoy dinner and overnight at Dharamshala.
Day 03:
In the morning drive up to Hardsar and then further trek to Dancho. From Hardsar, we gradually ascend to Dancho. It will be take around 3-4hrs to walk these 7 kms on route enjoy natural beauty dinner & overnight stay in Camp.
Day 04:
After breakfast trek to Manimahesh lake. Today we will be climb from Dancho to Manimahesh Lake. This is long and gradual climb. trek that totally depends on the weather conditions and the trekker's physical condition, thereby avoiding the risk of trek and will pause until the sky clear up. If later the sunshine, then after having a simple breakfast and taking along the packed lunch we will move ahead after a part over moraine, an evident trek in snow, though well-trodden. We will cross the pass and then move forward through for about ½ hour the expedition will reach the destination Kamal Kund. Kamal Kund is a beautiful quaint lake which is dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Next, we will move forward to the next destination Manimahesh Lake. A sacred dip will be taken in lake and the whole day would be spent nearby Manimahesh camp site.
Day 05:
After simple breakfast, the troop will begin the trek descending towards Gourikund. The troop will explore Gourikund. Here, we can spend almost ½ hour and then continue the trek to Dhancho. Here, we can enjoy the wonderful waterfall Dinner and overnight stay in camp.
Day 06:
In the morning after breakfast trek back to Hardsar and from here drive to Dharamshala. On arrival check in to hotel, dinner and overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Day 07:
In mrning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to volvo station to catch onwards Bus for Delhi & return to home with fresh memories of tour.
