There has been a long pending demand of the people of Ladakh and to give it the status of a Union Territory to enable them to realize their aspirations. The Union The territory of Ladakh will be without Legislature and Ladakh became a New Union Territory of India.

Ladakh is a mountainous region and the very coldest desert in the world.

In Ladakh, nature has rendered a magical, fantastic landscape and Most unbelievable and which is extremely breathtaking.

Ladakh lies in the north-east region of India and is surrounded by the world’s highest mountain ranges, Karakoram and Great Himalayas. The Ladakh district occupied China in the north and Kashmir in the west and Ladakh is an exotic and famous destination considered as the highest plateau lying at an altitude of 9, 800 ft. Ladakh is the 3rd province of Kashmir Valley. The population of Ladakh is about 2, 60,000 which contain a mixture of many different ethnic groups, predominantly Tibetans, Dards, Monpas, Muslims. Before 6th August 1979, the Ladakh District was divided into Leh District (mostly occupied by Tibetan Buddhist) and Kargil District (mostly occupied by Shia Muslims). But Recent Ladakh is the Union Territory state of India. And Leh is the capital of Ladakh. There are two regions in Ladakh, they are Leh and Kargil

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Leh:-

On arrival at Leh Airport, you will meet our representative and drive to Leh. Check in to the hotel and some rest and Freshen up the drive to Local Sightseeing Of Leh visit Leh Market. Overnight stay at Leh Hotel.

Day 2 Leh - Indus Valley tour :

Morning Breakfast in the hotel drives to day-tour of the Indus valley, which includes trips to the Shey Palace and the magnificent Buddhist monasteries-Thiksey, Hemis and Stok. Overnight stay at Leh Hotel.

Day 3 Leh - Rumtse - Kyamar (4000 m)/ trek 4-5 hrs :

Morning Breakfast in the hotel drives to Rumtse via Leh-Manali highway. The first phase of trekking starts from Rumtse to Kyamar (4000 m). After that moving on with the trek, you will come across a pasture valley where the nomadic herders or Changpas bring their yaks & goats to graze on. Trek on the ancient salt lake route and settle for an overnight camp at Kyamar.

Day 4 Kyamar-Kumur La-Tisaling (4805 m) trek 5-6 hrs :

From Kyamar, trek towards Tisaling. On the way, you will cross the Kumur La pass( 4770 m). At the top of the Kumur La pass, you can watch the breathtaking view of the snow-capped peaks of Ladakh including that of Mt. Kangyatse. On reaching Tisaling and take rest Overnight stay at Tisaling.

Day 5 Tisaling - Pangunagu in 5-6 hrs :

Morning Breakfast in the hotel start trek towards Pangunagu. You will cross the pass halt at the Shibuk La pass and enjoy the panoramic view of the Tsokar lake. The Tsor lake attracts a lot of migratory birds and is an ideal spot to watch. On crossing the lake, you would be expected to enter the famous Rupshu valley. The next stop of the trek is at Pangunagu where you can rest for the night at

Day 6 Pangunagu - Nuruchan in 5-6 hrs :

Morning Breakfast in the hotel and watching at the Tsokar Lake and just at the end of the trail, make a right and enter the Nuruchan village. Retire at the tents for an overnight stay.
Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Nuruchan to - Gyamabarma (4950 m) in 6-7 hrs :

Morning Breakfast in the camps and drive to Gyamabarma On the way, you would be expected to come across the major passes like Horlam Kongka La and Kyamayuri La. Arrival at Gyamabarma . Overnight stay at Gyamabarma Camps.

Day 8 Gyamabarma-Korzok (4550 m) in 6-7 hrs :

Morning Breakfast and start the trek over Yalung Nyau La, the highest pass on the trail. From the top of the pass, you can enjoy the mesmerizing views of western Tibetan peaks. The pass will lead to Korzok and which is the only settlement on the banks of Tsomoriri Lake. On arrival, you would be visiting the Korzak monastery. Overnight stay in tents.

Day 9 Korzok - Leh :

After breakfast drive to Leh all along the Indus river, which is around 220 km from Korzok. On the way, you will visit the Chumathang hot springs which are believed to cure medical ailments. After that come back to Leh. Overnight stay at Leh Hotel.

Day 10: Leh– Departure:-

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and get driven to Leh Airport for onward journey. The journey ends with Sweet Memories of Ladakh
