Kurukshetra district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana state in northern India. The town of Kurukshetra, a sacred place for the Hindus is the administrative headquarters of this district. The district occupies an area of 1530.00 km². The district has a population of 964,655 (2011 census). This district is part of Ambala division. Kurukshetra is also the land of Srimad Bhagawad Gita. Jyotisar is the place in Kurukshetra where Krishna is believed to deliver the sermon of Gita to Arjuna in the Mahabharata.
On arrival at Delhi, airport/railway station meets and greets by our representative and drive to the hotel, check-in to the hotel. Day free at your leisure. Overnight stay at the Amritsar hotel.
After breakfast, start your city tour with the blessings of Golden Temple-the the most important Sikh shrine also known as Harimandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. Then visit Jallianwala Bagh. Visit Durgiana Temple. The afternoon is at your leisure, overnight stay at Amritsar hotel.
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive Amritsar to karnal (333 km/5-6 hours). Reach karnal check-in to the hotel. In evening free for your own activates. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast proceeds to Karnal sightseeing. Visit Cantonment Church, Built-in 1806, once formed a part of the European Soldiers Grave, The cemetery has a boundary wall about 2.5 m high and it houses about 500 graves of European soldiers who died here in the British cantonment at Karnal. St. James Church, which was at Karnal. After that proceed to visit Old Fort, which attracts many tourists, it was constructed by Raja Gajpat Singh of Jind in 1764 AD. Taraori Sarai, Taraori, a small town of Haryana has been a battleground, in which two battles were fought in 1191 and 1192. Those were decisive battles, fought between Prithvi Raj Chauhan of the Hindu Chauhan dynasty and Mohmad Ghori of Afghanistan. Stay overnight at Karnal.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Pehowa to visit the famous Temple. On your way back you will visit Jyotisar, the birthplace of 'Bhagwad Geeta', revered as the most sacred book of Hindus. The epic battle of Mahabharata was fought here. There are many remains of that period. In the evening, visit the tomb of the famous saint Sheikh Chili. Also, visit gurudwara Chhevin Patshahi. Stay overnight in Kurukshetra.
After breakfast, you will be visiting the Sri Krishna Museum and Planetarium, Narkatari Temple, Nabhi Kamal Temple, old Shiva Temple, Birla Temple, Sanhith Sarovar (tank), Bhim Kund, Saraswati Kund, Panch Mukhi Hanuman, and Raja ka Tila. Also, visit Chini Masjid and Pathar Masjid, two outstanding monuments. Stay overnight in Kurukshetra.
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Chandigarh airport and railway station (94 km) to take flight or train to your onward destination.
