Overview

Amritsar is a city situated in the state of northern Punjab, the northwestern region of India. It is 25 kilometers (15 miles) away from the Pakistan border. This important Punjab city is the main center of commerce, culture, and transportation. It is the center of Sikhism and the principal place of worship for Sikhs. Amritsar is an attractive destination for tourists especially those parts of the Golden Triangle.

Harike Wetland also known as “Hari-Ke-Pattan”, with the Harike Lake in the deeper part of it, is the largest wetland in northern India in the border of Tarn Taran Sahib district and Ferozepur district of the Punjab state in India.

Kanji Wetland, a man-made Wetland, which subsumes the Kanjli Lake, located in the Kapurthala district of Punjab state in India, was created in 1870 by constructing the headworks across the perennial Bien River, a tributary of the Beas River to provide irrigation facilities to the hinterland.

Day 1: Amritsar

On Arrive Amritsar Railway Station/Airport meet our representative who will take you to the hotel. Start your city tour of Amritsar. During your tour, visit Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib). Also, visit Sri Akal Takht Sahib (also part of the Golden Temple Complex in Amritsar), situated opposite to the Harmandir Sahib. After this, explore Jalianwala Bagh. In the evening, get driven to visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony-Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border, situated at a distance of 30 km from Amritsar. Later drive back to your hotel in Amritsar for overnight stay.

Day 2: Amritsar - Hari Ke Pattan - Amritsar

After breakfast Drive to Hari Ke Pattan which is one of the most important lakes in India. It is also one of India's leading in-land sweet water fish markets and homes of varied wildlife. In the evening return back to Amritsar. Overnight stay at hotel in Amritsar.

Day 3 : Amritsar-Kanji Wetland-Kapurthala

After breakfast drive to Kapurthala. At a distance of 5 km from Kapurthala is the rivulet of Bein, which is surrounded by natural scenery. Kanji Wetlands is famous for bird watching and boating. It is swamped by ducks and swans. The lush green grasslands are a sight not to be missed. It is a haven for birds of different varieties. Lately a project of great magnitude has been underway to provide for all modern facilities that make bird watching here an attraction beyond anything. It is located on the outskirts of the city. It is on the western Bein rivulet. In the evening drive to Jalandhar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Jalandhar- Ropar -Chandigarh

After breakfast drive to Ropar. There is a lake situated within the wetland. The migratory birds are known to flock here as well. This place is popularly known as the Sutlej water body wetland. You can also boat here. In the evening drive to Chandigarh. Overnight stay at the hotel in Chandigarh.

Day 5: Chandigarh Departure

After breakfast visits the Rock Garden which consists of various arts and objects made of industrial and urban waste. Then visit Sukhna Lake. It serves as a picnic spot and the Best place for water activities. In the evening drop you at Chandigarh railway station for an onward journey.
