Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in Asian country till 1954, is currently a Union Territory city delimited by the southeastern state state. Its French bequest is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and stylish boutiques. A seaboard promenade runs on the Bay of Bengal and passes many statues, together with a 4m-high Gandhi Memorial.
On arrival at Chennai airport/railway station and drive to Pondicherry. On the way visit Mahabalipuram. Check into the hotel at Pondicherry and relax for the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today, after breakfast drive to sightseeing of Pondicherry. Visit Aurobindo Ashram houses a library, study room, and sales emporium. Remainders of Sri Aurobindo is present here and is open to all for meditation. Then visit French War Memorial, Botanical garden, Chunnambar boat house located along the banks of Ariyankkupam River. Evening you shall enjoy the palm-fringed beaches of Pondicherry. Overnight stay at the hotel.
