Nagaland is a state in northeastern India. The state capital is Kohima and the largest the city is Dimapur.There are 16 inhabitant tribes in this state:- Angami, Ao, Chakhesang, Chang, Kachari, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Kuki, Lotha, Phom, Pochury, Rengma, Sangtam, Sumi, Yimchunger, and Zeme-Liangmai (Zeliang). Each tribe is unique in a character with its own distinct customs, language, and dress. Mount Saramati is that the highest peak at three,840 meters and its range forms a natural barrier between Nagaland and Burma. Nagaland is home to the Bhut Jolokia or ghost pepper, one of the hottest chilis in the world at 855,000 SHU on the Scoville scale. All the tribes of Nagaland have their own cookery, and that they use a great deal of meat, fish, and fermented products in their dishes. Galho is a vegetarian porridge cooked with rice, leaves, and condiments. Drinks include zutho and thutse, beers made with sticky rice.
On Arrival Dimapur Airport, Nagaland’s one and only Airport that connects with Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata. Continue to Kohima and check in to the Hotel. At the Evening, visit local market where you can be presented to the Naga foods stuffs like vegetables and fishes. Overnight stay in Kohima.
After breakfast, you enjoy full day sightseeing the War Cemetery and surrounding areas, the Sale Emporium, Kohima Village and the church. After doing the lunch, visit Jakhama village to discover real Angami Naga tribal. Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
After breakfast, visit Khonoma or Touphema village. Drive to Touphema village Take a walk in a Naga tribal village, museum and also visit the Touphema Village Resort run by the local Angami tribe. Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
After breakfast, Check out in the Kohima hotel and drive to the capital of Manipur, Imphal. Visit Manipur State Museum and Shri Govindajee Temple. Evening free at relaxation to visit the Khwairamband Bazaar (a local market run by mothers). Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
After breakfast, tour the city covering Khonghampat orchidarium and Zoological Garden. Later that drive to Moirang, the ancient capital of the Manipuri Kings. See the Sadu Chiru waterfall and the Japanese war memorial, that reflects the history of the Second World War. Visit the Keibul Lamjao National Park. Return to Imphal. Later come back to the hotel for having dinner and nightlong stay.
On the last day of the Imphal tour, breakfast would be served at the hotel after which the caravan will proceed to Imphal airport, marking the end to the memorable trip.
