Meghalaya is the northeastern state of India The Sanskrit meaning of Meghalaya means “the abode of clouds“ . The state is covered with high mountains and scenery vallies. Shiling is the capital of Meghalaya. The state is covered with lush forests, pines, sals, and bamboo trees. The state is the house of many Tibeto-Burman (Garos) or Mon-Khmer Khasis. English and Assamese are sate’s official languages. Other languages spoken in the state include are Nepali, Haijong, Bengali, Assamese, and Hindi. Meghalaya is rich in tribal culture The state has a rich and prestige culture. People like drinking and dancing on religious ceremonies, social functions, and marriages in their traditional costumes.
On the first day of your trip, you will arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station where our representative will meet you and drive you to Bomdila. This journey is long and will take you through twirling roads and snake-bends. You will get to witness the magnificence of rolling hills replete with thick green vegetation and verdant valleys lined with flowers. Upon your arrival at Bomdila, you will check-in your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing and unwinding after a long day. Dinner & Overnight Stay.
After Breakfast your trip will start as you finish breakfast and proceed to Tawang by road. On way, you will stop at Bomdila Monastery and have a blissful experience. You will also stop and visit Sela Pass is the highest motorable pass in India. At Jaswant Garh, you will feel the patriotism that drove our brave soldiers during the Indo China War. Lunch will be en-route. After arrival at Tawang, you will check-in your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing. Dinner & Overnight Stay.
After breakfast on the third day of your trip, you will proceed to Tawang Monastery, Ani Gompa and Giant buddha statue where you will immediately feel the divine presence. With this spiritual exposure, you are sure to feel peace and tranquillity that is lacking in our daily life. You will also visit the Tawang emporium where you may do some shopping. The next stop will be at the very famous Urgelling Monastery that is the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. In the evening, you will visit the Tawang War Memorial. The day will end with a magnificent light and sound show, after which you will return to the hotel and stay there overnight.
After breakfast, you will start your road journey to Bumla Pass. As you pass through the magnificent and grand hills, you will notice the unique vegetation that adds instant charm to the landscape. On way to Bumla Pass, you will visit P.T.T Lake and Madhuri lake where you will spend leisurely time with loved ones. At Bumla pass, you will revel in the majestic landscape that you can witness nowhere else. Upon return to the hotel, you are free to spend the evening exploring the area around the hotel and getting to know about the local people and their lifestyles. Dinner & overnight Stay.
After breakfast on the fifth day of the tour, you will start your drive to Bomdila. The route is lined with dense forests and thick vegetation. You will hear the melodious chirping and cooing of birds that will greet you as you continue your journey. You will make a stop-over at the lively and animated Nuranang Falls, also known as Jung Falls. After a small break, you will resume the journey and reach Bomdila to check-in your hotel. You have the rest of the day to relax and have overnight rest.
After breakfast From there, you will be taken to Guwahati airport or railway station as per your preference and onward journey. While on way, you will make a quick stop-over at Laitlum canyon to garner the visual treats of this majestic natural wonder. Once you have had your share of visual delight, you will resume your journey and depart from the airport or railway station at Guwahati. Dinner & overnight Stay.
