There has been a long pending demand of the people of Ladakh and to give it the status of a Union Territory to enable them to realize their aspirations. The Union The territory of Ladakh will be without Legislature and Ladakh became a New Union Territory of India.
Ladakh is a mountainous region and the very coldest desert in the world.
In Ladakh, nature has rendered a magical, fantastic landscape and Most unbelievable and which is extremely breathtaking.
Ladakh lies in the north-east region of India and is surrounded by the world’s highest mountain ranges, Karakoram and Great Himalayas. The Ladakh district occupied China in the north and Kashmir in the west and Ladakh is an exotic and famous destination considered as the highest plateau lying at an altitude of 9, 800 ft. Ladakh is the 3rd province of Kashmir Valley. The population of Ladakh is about 2, 60,000 which contain a mixture of many different ethnic groups, predominantly Tibetans, Dards, Monpas, Muslims. Before 6th August 1979, the Ladakh District was divided into Leh District (mostly occupied by Tibetan Buddhist) and Kargil District (mostly occupied by Shia Muslims). But Recent Ladakh is the Union Territory state of India. And Leh is the capital of Ladakh. There are two regions in Ladakh, they are Leh and Kargil.
On arrival at Leh Airport, you will meet our representative and drive to Leh. Check in to the hotel and some rest and Freshen up the drive to Local Sightseeing Of Leh visit Leh Market. Overnight stay at Leh Hotel.
Morning breakfast, from Leh, drive to the Spituk and cross a bridge here that is behind the Spituk monastery (7 km). From the bridge start trekking along river Indus while walking through the Stok Mountains. Slowly move towards the wilderness of the Himalayas, leaving behind the Leh-Srinagar highway. Arrive at Zingchen while passing by a gorge where you stay in a camp overnight.
Morning Breakfast in Zingchen Camp Starts for Rumbak through Zingchen moving on a straight road. You will be entering the Hemis National Park. Hemis National Park is popular for being home to wolf, snow leopard, Baharal, marmot, etc. After visiting Park drive you Yurutse.Overnight stay at Yurutse.
Morning Breakfast in the hotels and Follow the mountain path from Yurutse, crossing a valley while on a zig-zag route. Overnight stay at Skie in tents.
Morning Breakfast and drive to Markha while viewing its vegetation. After crossing it, you will cross a barren land too and reach the Chaluk. Move a little along the left side of the bank and finally towards the Markha village. At the end of the village, camps are set near the river for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, start trekking to reach Tchatchutse through Hankar village. Night Stay in tents.
Morning breakfast and you will begin your trek journey to reach Nimaling (4900m). This place has a green pasture where during summers, you can spot thousands of sheep and Yaks and Goats grazing. Towards the south is Kang Yatse (Nimaling Peak) (6400m)Overnight stay in tents.
Start trekking towards Kongmaru La (5100 m), after breakfast. The top of the Passes offers a view of the Ladakh ranges and villages to the north of Indus valley. Proceed towards Shang for an overnight stay in tents.
Start walking downwards to visit the Hemis Monastery, one of the oldest and the richest monasteries in Ladakh. After that drive to Leh. On the way, visit Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace and Stok Palace and museum.
This marks the end of your tour.
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and get driven to Leh Airport for onward journey. The journey ends with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
