The state is bordered by Nagaland to the north, Mizoram to the south and Assam to the west; The capital of Manipur is Imphal. The primary official language of Manipur is MeiteilonSituated at an elevation of 790 meters above the sea level, the state of Manipur is wedged between hills from all sides. The climate of the State is salubrious. The temperature ranges from sub-zero to 36°C. Manipur, being the one of the most important cities of India, is well connected to most of the other cities of the Country, by highways, railways, and airways.
On arrival at Imphal transfer to hotel & check-in at the Hotel. After rest visit Kangla Fort, Ima Market, Shahid Minar and World’s Oldest Polo ground. Overnight in Imphal.
After breakfast visit Govindajee Temple, then proceed to Loktak lake(largest fresh water lake in north east), INA Memorial(Indian tricolor was first hoisted here by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army), Japanese War Memorial. Overnight in Imphal.
Leave early in the morning and visit Govindajee Temple then proceed to the Indo-Myanmar Border Town of Moreh. On reaching there we will hire a local auto and cross over to the Myanmar side to see altogether a different culture and lifestyle in their nearest town of Tamu. Return back to Moreh and overnight.
After breakfast drive back to Imphal en-route visit the beautiful Kakching Garden and Khongjom War Memorial, it is the place where the last battle of Manipur's independence was fought against the British army in 1891. Overnight in Imphal.
After breakfast leave for Ukhrul - a picturesque hill town of Manipur - which lies about 84 km kilometers to the North East of Imphal. The place is inhabited by Tangkhul Tribes. The life and art of Tangkhuls are attractive and captivating. Their different costumes and wears, utensils, architecture, monumental erections, and memorial set-up depicts their dexterity in art, which also speaks of their sense of beauty and finesse. Later visit the Nungbi Village known for its black pottery and explore the Nungbi village. Overnight in Ukhrul.
After breakfast leave for trekking at Shirui peak, famous for Shirui Lily, which is grown only in this place. Later return back to Imphal. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Imphal.
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Imphal Railway station/Airport to catch onwards Flight/ train & return home with sweet memories.
