Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the twelve Jyotirlingams, shrines which are said to be the most sacred abodes of Lord Shiva. It is located in the ancient city of Ujjain in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The temple is situated on the side of the holy river Shipra. Bhimashankar, located about 100 km from Pune and 223 km from Mumbai, is a popular temple town. It is among one of the twelve traditional ‘Jyotilingam. Shirdi is a town in the state of Maharashtra, in western India. It’s known as the former home of revered spiritual leader Sai Baba and as a major pilgrimage site. The unique part of this Jyotirlinga is that it displays three faces portraying Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Rudra. Later drive to Shirdi – a Land of Sai. The temple derives a huge influence from south India Temple architecture and boasts a five-tier Shikara. It is even the smallest Jyotirlinga temple in the country. After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Ahmadnagar en-route visit Parli Vaijanath. Perched on a small hill, this is a fifth Jyotirlinga out of the twelve in the country.
