Kurukshetra is a city in the north Indian state of Haryana. It’s known as the setting of the Hindu epic poem the “Mahabharata.” The text’s great battle is depicted in a large diorama at the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre. West of the city, the town of Jyotisar is a pilgrimage site where, according to the “Mahabharata,” the sacred “Bhagavad Gita” scripture was first delivered. Brahma Sarovar is an ancient water pool sacred to Hinduism in Thanesar, in the state of Haryana in North India. Hinduism lays emphasis on taking bath for internal and external purity. Most religious sites have water pools or Sarovar in or near the Hindu temple and Sikh gurdwara.
After arrival at Kurukshetra railway station in the morning, our representative will drive you to the hotel check-in. After taking some rest you can visit the Kurukshetra market and overnight stay.
After breakfast, in the morning our representative will drive you to Brahma Sarovar, as its name suggests, is a water tank in Thanesar in Haryana. It is considered sacred by Hindus and is incredibly beautiful. It is said that the water inside the tank can help those taking a dip in it to attain salvation. It has been currently renovated and is equipped with modern state-of-the-art facilities. Brahma Sarovar is the most excited and breathtaking site in Kurukshetra. People can spend hours here watching the sunset with its reddish and golden reflection in the water. The place you are going to see is colorful and remains lively throughout which attracts visitors and make them visit multiple times. There are handicraft shops and a variety of cuisines from different states to feed on making it a must-visit place. A beautiful temple is situated inside the water which can be reached via a concrete bridge. The Bramha Sarovar also has a shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva in the middle which can be accessed via a small bridge.
After breakfast in the morning, our representative will drive you for sightseeing of Krishna Musume. It is Founded in 1987, Krishna Museum houses various artifacts of Lord Krishna and Krishna's incarnations from 1st Century AD to 11th Century AD. The museum has six galleries also showcase the statues in the forms as described in the Bhagavata Purana and Mahabharata.
The exhibits in the galleries consist of exquisite woodcarvings, wooden panels, bronze casting, ivory works, palm- leaf etchings, stone sculptures, archaeological artifacts, and miniature paintings. There is also a tableau made from Papier-mache and clay, based on Bhagavata and Mahabharata.
After breakfast in the morning, our representative will drive you to Sannihit Sarovar. You can see this Sarovar is up to 550 ft in width and 1500 ft in height, Sannihit Sarovar is believed to be the meeting point of seven tributaries of Saraswati River and the home of Lord Vishnu.
It is believed that bathing on the day of Amavasya or on the day of an eclipse would fetch the fortune of an Ashwamedha yajna. Sarovar premises also houses shrines of Dhruv Narayan, Sri Hanuman, Lord Vishnu, Dhruv Bhagat, Laxmi Narayan, and Goddess Durga.
After breakfast in the morning, our representative will drive you to Jyotisar. It is associated with the legend of Mahabharata and is a sacred site in Kurukshetra. It is where Lord Krishna recited the Bhagwad Geeta under a Banyan tree to Arjun, to prepare him to fight the war against Bhishma and Karan. The tree is believed to be the same tree that still exists in the town.
After breakfast in the morning, our representative will drive you to Sthaneshwar Mahadev It is said that the Pandavas obtained the blessings of Lord Shiva in Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple. You can see the tank in the premises of the temple is believed to possess healing properties and has also healed Banasura's leprosy.
Archeologists show the architecture of the temple to Sthaneshwar, the ancient capital of Harsha Vardhana. The temple houses an ancient statue of the Shiva Linga which is believed to be the first idol of Shiva in the phallic form.
After breakfast in the morning, our representative will drive you for sightseeing of Bhadrakali Temple is where Pandavas were believed to perform prayers and rituals before the final battle against Kauravas. One among the Shakti Peeths, the shrine is home to Goddess Kali and her incarnations.
