Overview

Pelling is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Pemayangtse Monastery features wall paintings, sculptures and a gold-plated statue of Guru Padmasambhava. Overlooking a valley, the 17th-century Rabdentse Palace, now in ruins, still has evidence of the king’s bedroom and kitchen.

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Lachung is a mountain village close to the Tibetan border, in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It’s divided by the Lachung River. The village is home to the 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery, surrounded by apple orchards. Nearby, the Yumthang Valley’s Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary protects many species of rhododendron. The valley is also known for its waterfalls, pine forests, and hot springs.

Itinerary

Day 1:- Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Rly Station-Pelling

On arrival at Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. The station you will be received by our professional representative, who will be waiting for a warm welcome just outside of the airport (customs area)/ Rly. Station by your nameplate /your referral and proceed to peeling (7,000ft. /124 km. /6 hours), the land lies with Mt. Khnagchendzonga and also known as the Hallmark land of eastern Himalayan state in India. On arrival at Pelling check-in at your hotel, overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 2:- Pelling Sightseeing

Today Morning you Full day Excursion trip to Pemayangtse Monastery, built-in 17th. Century, it is one of the oldest and most important monasteries of the Nyingmapa order of Buddhism in Sikkim also visit Khecheopalri Lake & Shingshore Suspension Bridge is worth seeing – length & gorge height is 680 ft. It is the second-highest bridge in Asia. This area also has its. Also Visit Kanchendzonga waterfalls, Rock garden, overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 3:- Pelling to Gangtok via Namchi and Chardham

Today Morning after breakfast proceeds for excursion trip to Namchi Chardham Darshan, Guru Padmasambhava statue. And after that proceed for Gangtok (5500ft. /124 km. /4 hours), the capital city of the Indian state of Sikkim (Sikkim is the 23rd.state of India). Chardham:
this unique Pilgrim Centre has the main temple of 108 feet height on which is based the 87 feet high statue of Lord Shiva on the sitting posture at the Solophok Hill. Apart from Shiva statue, this Pilgrim Centre also has replicas of the twelve Jyotirlingas, to offer one platform for Shiva devotees. Colophon Chardham Lord Shiva incarnated as Kirateshwar in Indrakeel (Present Sikkim). Therefore, in this incarnation, he is locally worshipped by the people of Sikkim as Lord Kirateshwar. A statue of 16 1/2 feet height of Lord Kirateshwar is also installed in the complex. In order to attain Moksha, the Hindu belief is to perform pilgrimage to all the existing four Dhams. Thereby, replicas of these four Dhams, namely Badrinath, Jaganath and Dwarka dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Rameshwar, dedicated to Lord Shiva is also constructed.

Day 4:- Gangtok - Lachung

After Morning departure for Lachung (8610 ft./135km/6 hours), it has been described as the ‘most picturesque village of Sikkim’ by Joseph Dalton in his ‘Himalayan Journal’ (1855), situated in North Sikkim. Lachung is an exquisite valley town resplendent in its crown of a snow-capped mountain, breathtaking waterfalls, and sparkling streams. Arrival at Lachung check-in at the hotel, overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 5:- Lachung-Yumthang-Lachung

Early Morning drives up for Yumthang valley (11,800 ft. /24 km / 2 hours) excursion tour. Yumthang, where the tree line ends and the rhododendron groves cover the landscape in a surreal shade. Yumthang also called the valley of flowers as in spring wild alpine flowers carpet the land. Yumthang is also known for its hot spring, which has healing medicinal properties. Back to Lachung and Departure for Lachen (9,500 ft/135 km/6 hours).On arrival check-in at the hotel. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 6:- Lachen - Gurudongmar Lake - Gangtok

Today Morning Just start to drive up for an unforgettable excursion tour to Gurudongmar Lake (17,200 ft. /56 km.)-a sacred lake, the waters are believed to possess the miraculous powers of granting issues to barren couples. The lake freezes during the winter except at one spot believed to be especially blessed by Guru Rimpoche. Back to Lachen and drive down to Gangtok.

Day 7:- Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Today drive up for a memorable excursion tour to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft. /39 km), this is one of the highest altitude Himalayan Lake. Most beautiful this oval shape lake almost 1 km long with its average depth 50 ft and situated in east Sikkim Himalaya. Again drive up for Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13,000 ft/15 km/30 minute). Back to Gangtok and evening free for M.G Marg. the popular shopping area in Gangtok overnight stays in Gangtok.

Day 8:- Gangtok - Kalimpong

Today embark for Kalimpong. (4,000 ft. /75 km. /3 hours.) Valley excursion, the picturesque little hill town in eastern Himalaya. This compares favorably with other hill stations in India with its mild climate, overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 9:- Kalimpong – Lava Loleygaon

Today after breakfast proceed for lava loleygaon, overnight stay at Kalimpong.

Day 10:- Kalimpong - Daejeeling

Today proceed for Darjeeling (7,200 ft. / 49.1 km / 2hours), The Queen of Hill’s. Arrivals at Darjeeling check-in at your hotel. Evening free for walk in the Mall, where you will get curio and handicraft shop. Overnight Stay at Hotel.

Day 11:- Darjeeling Sightseeing Tour

Early morning get ready for an exciting excursion tour to Tiger Hill (8,500 ft), the famous sunrise point in eastern Himalaya and get the breathtaking view of the changing colour reflection over the Mt. Khnagchendzonga peak and en route back to hotel visit Batasia Loop ,this is a war memorial also visit Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest monastery. Day 12:- Darjeeling – Bagdogra Airport / Njp Rly Station

After Morning check out from the hotel and drive towards Bagdogra airport / New Jalpaiguri Rly. Station (124 km/ 4 hours) to catch your Flight & return to home with sweet memories.
