Overview

This is in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand lies in the holy place of Yamunotri. About 3,293 meters above the sea level, Yamunotri stands proudly with its enormous mountain peaks, glaciers and gushing waters of Yamuna. The Yamuna River is the second most sacred river of India, originates in Yamunotri, making it one of the pilgrimage sites in the Chota Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. It is on the Greater Himalayan Range, at a height of 3,100 meters (10,200 ft.). Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of the Alaknanda River. It is a confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath, this Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag.

Itinerary

Day 01:- Haridwar arrival

On arrival at Haridwar Railway Station our representative will meet you there and now continue to drive to the hotel. On arrival check-in Hotel after taking some rest in evening visit ‘Har ki Podi’ Called ‘Amrit Kund’ to join Ganga Aarti. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02:- Haridwar/Rishikesh –Barkot

After breakfast at the hotel now drive to Barkot (220km/ 07hours journey) Via Dehradun & Mussoorie. En-route visit Kempty Fall, on arrival check-in at the hotel overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03:- Barkot - Yamunotri - back Barkot (36kms drive & 7kms Trek one side)

After breakfast drive to Janki Chatti and then your trek will be starting for Yamunotri. You will cover the trekking distance either by walk or ride horses or on Doli. One side distance for the fourth day is 36 Km drive and 7 Km trek.

At Yamunotri taking bath in Jamnabai Kund and dip raw rice or potato in Surya Kund, after cooking use it as Prasad. Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila and to the main deity Yamunaji. After that, drive back to Barkot for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04:- Barkot –Uttarkashi

After breakfast at the hotel now ready drive to Uttarkashi (83km/03hrs) via barkot. On arrival check-in at the hotel, later visit Vishwanath temple, in the evening return to hotel dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05:- Uttarkashi - Gangotri - back Uttarkashi (100km/03 hrs. journey)

On this day we will start our day a bit early in the morning and leave for a day tour to Gangotri via Harsil. On reaching, we will visit the Gangotri temple for offering prayers and darshan. After that, we will drive back to our hotel in Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Gangotri is a famous Hindu pilgrim center located on the banks of the river Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand state in India. It is known for holding the Gangotri Temple that is believed to be the origin place of holy River Ganges.

Day 06:- Uttarkashi – Phata

Early morning, after breakfast at the hotel, drive to Phata (208km/ 08 hours journey) en-route visit Tehri dam on arrival check-in at hotel dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07:- Phata – Kedarnath– Phata (By Helicopter/Doli/Trek)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Gaurikund, start your trek from Gaurikund via Rambara to Kedarnath a total walking distance of 14kms on arrival visit Kedarnath Temple after that overnight stay at Sitapur.

Day 08:- Phata– Badrinath (196km/07 hrs. journey)

After breakfast proceeds to Badrinath sightseeing tour Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. Brahamakapal signs for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spots like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three km of Badrinathjee. Overnight stay at Badrinath.

Badrinath is also known as one of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters

Day 09:- Badrinath - Rudraprayag (156km/05 hrs.)

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive for Rudraprayag via Joshimath. On the way, you will also visit Narsingh Temple in Joshimath later drive back to Rudraprayag via Joshimath. Check into the hotel's arrival in Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

Day 10:- Rudraprayag – Haridwar (164km/05 hrs.)

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive for Haridwar via Rishikesh. Rishikesh ‘place of sages’ is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by the Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. Later you will visit Rishikesh Temples & sight-seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla. Our representative will drop you at Haridwar railway station to catch your train return to home with sweet memories of Char Dham Tour Yatra.
