Shivneri Fort is a 17th-century military fortification located near Junnar in Pune district in Maharashtra, India. It is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the -Maratha Empire. Naneghat, also referred to as Nanaghat or Nana Ghat, is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats range between the Konkan coast and the ancient town of Junnar in the Deccan plateau.

Itinerary

Day 1: Pune - Bhimashankar

Morning departure to Bhimashankar. En-route breakfast at Peth. On arrival darshan and visit local points by Walk. After lunch free time and proceed to visit Shivneri Fort, Shivneri is known to be a place of Buddhist dominion from the 1st century AD. Chatrapati Shivaji born at this fort on 19 February 1630, and spent his childhood there. Inside the fort, there is a small temple dedicated to the goddess Shivai Devi, after whom Shivaji was named. Overnight stay at Ozar.

Day 2: Naneghat sightseeing - Pune Departure

After breakfast proceeds to Naneghat, Naneghat is a mountain pass in the Western Ghats. During the reign of the Satavahana (200 BCE–190 CE), the pass was extensively used as a trade route between Kalyan and Junnar. After lunch proceeds to Malshej Ghat. Enjoy the Waterfalls of Malshej Ghat. Evening proceeds to Pune. and Drop you Pune Airport or railway station.
