Goecha La is a tiny place located in Sikkim, and Goecha La trek is a dream and desire for hundreds of adventure lovers throughout the country. Entangled amidst vibrant and colorful flora and fauna, it is also the way to the astounding Kanchenjunga National Park to dive into the natural beauty. It is not about Kanchenjunga alone but the combination of other big summits around it makes Goechala Trek an absolute adventure to many and it is a great pleasure to watch these summits from the landscapes filled with exotic flowers and immensely attractive meadows and forests.
To watch the mountains clearly, you should visit Goechala during October to November since the sky will be completely clear during this time and the sunset, as well as sunrise views, would be perfect. But the cold climate that welcoming winter season would be a bit tough but still it is considered to be a suitable time to enjoy the snow-clad peaks without restraints. The altitude Goechala is posing before the trekkers are 4940 meters and that is the best reason for gathering trekkers from all over the world to the small state of Sikkim.
On arriving at Bagdogra Airport/ Railway Station you are transferred by our representatives to Thansing( 560 Km 12- 13 Hours). Camping stays dinner in Thansing.
Holiday Day, Short Tour
You can have breakfast in the morning, you can either spend the day relaxing in the camp or then walk around the camp. The day is much needed because you must reach a higher altitude before you can get more. Stayed in camps overnight.
Samiti Lake, Zemathang Plateau, Goecha La Pass
You will start the trek after breakfast in the morning. Climbing up through the peacocks, you will then reach Lake Samiti and then cross the Zemathago station. From here we will once again start climbing the moraine and after trekking for about 1 hour, reach Goicha La Pass. Before reaching this magnificent pass, you will have a view of Kanchenjunga and the distant peaks before you return to Kokchurung for an overnight stay camp.
7-8 Hours Trek, Kanchenjunga Peak, Dzongri Plateau
After breakfast in the morning, you can see the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga peak from a nearby ridge and start trekking back towards Ashoka. Today, you are taking a route through the Dozongri Plateau to avoid a long climb. The path will go through the deciduous forests of Prick Chu and Vedang. Arriving in Tshoka, dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
After the morning you will arrive in Yuksom, descending through the Prek Chu River. Arrive in the vicinity, check-in at the hotel and spend a relaxing day.
This day is the last day of Gotcha La Trek. After Breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Bagdogra airport/ railway station.
