After breakfast we proceed to the plateau of Samthar stands amidst an arc of hills at an elevation of 1600 Meters. The forested hills in Samthar has some rare collections of flora and fauna. The journey to Samthar from Lava runs through a 24kms metal forest road up to Loleygaon. Thereafter it is a rough wilderness trail, fit for 4 wheel drive vehicles or jeeps. Through densely forested hills comprising oaks, pines, juniper in a perennial mossy and moist atmosphere you reach the Samthar Village. The road ends at Samthar Farm House, which is the starting point for some more fabulous treks. Evening time proceed Overnight stay with dinner at the hotel.

After breakfast, we proceed to Kalijhora. Kalijhora is a hamlet and an emerging picnic spot Siliguri. Kalijhora surrounded by dense forest and wide basin of Teesta River offers great camping grounds for picnics and other activities. It is situated on the edge of Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, therefore, many treks to sanctuary start from here. Kalijhora is an ideal location for a day outing or picnic throughout the year. Kalijhora gets its name from a small stream nearby which merges in River Teesta. Kalijhora is Latpancher and 9 KMs from the Monpong. Overnight stay with dinner at the hotel.
