Bagdogra is a census town in Darjeeling district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Bagdogra is a part of the Greater Siliguri Metropolitan Area. Bagdogra is well connected by air from four major cities of India – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata & Chennai. Bagdogra has a railway station.
Upon arrival, meet our representatives and drive to Kaluk in West Sikkim. It’s about 5-6 hrs drive. Upon arrival, check into the Hotel. Evening time is free for leisure or can opt to walk around the town area. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
After breakfast as we drive to Dentam(20 km) where we will visit Alpine cheese factory (Initiation of the Swiss company) now taken over by the State Govt. is famous for producing world-class gouda cheese. Then we drive to Singshore Bridge (6 km) which is considered to be the Asia’s 02nd highest gorge/suspension bridge and after a while, we drive further to Uttaray, the last settlement before the border of India & Nepal. We can opt to visit Markham (Subba community temple) and the Monastery and also can do a bit of village walk. We also visit the Srijunga Mangkhim at Hee-Bermiok on our way back, the temple is dedicated to the Subba chieftain or also considered the God Srijunga. Evening time is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.

After early breakfast & early checkout, we drive to Pelling, check into the hotel and start our day itinerary with Khechupalri lake, an hour drive from Pelling. This unusually calm and placid lake, located in the midst of a dense forest is considered sacred to both Buddhist and the Hindus, who come here to make a wish and is among the pilgrimage site of Sikkim. It is also believed to be the wish-fulfilling lake, The other point in this session is Khangchendzonga waterfalls, short in height but beautiful. We come back to Pelling for Lunch and after lunch, we visit Pemayangtse monastery build in the year 1705 A.D. belonging to the Nyingmapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism is one of the oldest monasteries in the state and also the very important among the Red Hat Sect. Later we hitchhike to Rabdentse Palace ruins (02nd capital of Sikkim), the walk from the main road to the ruins is about 30 minutes through the forest rich with floras & faunas and Avi-faunas. The C.C. Footpath is built for the visitor’s convenience and the ruins are maintained by the ASI-Kolkata. Its only 15 minutes drive back to Pelling. Overnight stay & dinner at the Hotel.

After breakfast you will cover these places, the early start is required with first visiting Tata-Gatha Tsal (Buddha Park)(52 kms/2 ½ hrs) Buddha park which was first consecrated by H.H. XIVth Dalai Lama in the year 2013. The collections of the relics, the wall paintings are mesmerizing. The statue of Sakyamuni Buddha at the center of the Park is its charm. The drive to Namchi is another 26 km and to Samdruptse from Namchi town is about 05 km Later we drive back to Temi Tea Garden (19 km from Namchi), the only tea garden in Sikkim and is considered the 100 % Organic tea garden producing some of the world finest organic tea. The drive back to Pelling takes around 04 hours and the lunch is suggested while driving back. Overnight stay at Hotel.

After Breakfast at Hotel & check out and drive to Darjeeling in West Bengal. As we drive by the River Rangit, we try to memorize the good moments of Sikkim until we reach the border town-Melli and the final look back at Sikkim as we drive further in West Bengal alongside river Teesta and through the beautiful tea gardens until we reach an altitude of around 2300 meters where we find one of the highest & oldest railway stations of India dating back to 1890-91, The famous toy train, a UNESCO world heritage site still running by the roadside through this hilly town adds an extra charm to the tour. Different places with different ambiances finally reach us to the hotel to check-in, refresh and relax. Later, we visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Garden, Japanese Temple (Peace Pagoda). Overnight stay at Hotel.
After breakfast morning to the Tiger Hill, the top with more than 8000 ft, is the place from where we can have a magnificent sunrise view over the mountain, the mountain of Everest, Khanchendzonga, Makalu & Lhotse- the four giants of the Himalaya is seen from the top which explains why the Darjeeling is named “the queen of the Hills “ we spend most of the morning here mesmerizing the view of a lifetime and we slowly head back to the town to visit the Dali Gumpa (Gelug sect monastery), We can also add Batasia loop in our itinerary but after the View from the top of Tiger Hill, the view doesn’t give much of compares. The breakfast is served at the hotel and an hour rest are essential after a bite. The day follows with a joy ride in the toy train from Darjeeling station to Ghoom (Timing- 10:40 am) TO & FRO could be arranged but the advance reservation for the same is required. We have an afternoon time free to stroll around the famous Chow-rasta(Mall) to collect a souvenirs’ from the hills to carry back and dinner with an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, we check out and drive to Bagdogra via the beautiful tea valleys of Kurseong and reaches the plains of India and to Bagdogra Airport to board a flight to the onward destination with sweet beautiful memories.
